Food and drinks are significantly overpriced. This so-called “Octoberfest“ is misleading. Plus, charging an entrance fee to the dog pen is unreasonable. Labeling it “Octoberfest“ constitutes false advertising. If anyone has ever attended a traditional Octoberfest, then they would not go there. Period.

This is a special place. Giant pretzels, boots of beer, whisky from Lincoln's only distillery, and a rooftop bar all in the heart of the historic Haymarket downtown. Whether you want to watch the game downstairs, take someone special out on the roof to see the city lights, or taste a flight of craft beers with a good friend, the Bierhaus has you covered.

This is a cool place. The inside is neat, and my husband really enjoys their Beer. they have a very limited menu. We tried the special “blueberry sausage and pancakes” and was disappointed that the pancakes were just the frozen pancakes I get for my kids.

A fine bar. The food is DELICIOUS but be warned: the menu is pretty limited. It’s a bar, not an eatery. The place is great with good music and friendly bartenders. When it gets busy, you may wait a while for a drink but that’s not really anyone’s fault.

My family stopped in for dinner while we passed through Lincoln. We were able to get a table right away and ordered the Bavarian Pretzel & Group platter. The garlic sausage was very good as was the pretzel! We tried a few different beers and they had a good variety to choose from. The service was great and we were checked on frequently to see if we needed anything! Definitely would go there again.

My husband and I went in to the sparsely decorated Bierhaus Maisschäler for a late lunch and ordered the "Group Platter". I don't know how small they think a "group" is, but, what we got was two pieces of sausage (both tastey, yes), a pile of store-bought kettle chips, a (delicious) pretzel, an itty-bitty bunch of cut up dill pickle, a tiny amount of sauerkraut straight out of a can, a small bit of beer cheese for the pretzel, and a miniscule amount of stoneground mustard. This BS cost $32. THIRTY TWO DOLLARS NOT INCLUDING TIP. Don't get me wrong...everything tasted great, but NOT $32 great, especiallyfor the size of it all.
Okay, so this is mainly a drinking establishment. I get that...and no, we didn't order beer, but
Bierhaus Maisschäler failed our expectations, and we will probably never return. Honestly, we'd rather drive all the way to Des Moines to the Hessen Haus.

This is a simply a great place. You will have a hard time finding better service or better beer in Lincoln. GREAT location in Haymarket, there's also a rooftop bar that's well worth the effort. Food options are limited, but the top-shelf sausages and pretzels means nobody need walk away hungry. We always stop here when we get back to Lincoln.

Wow! What a fun bar! You are able to try many German beers and you get 3 different sizes to choose from! You can choose to get a boot or a large stein! The place has a great atmosphere to it! The staff was patient and very helpful! You can sit outside or the inside!
