Open on Sunday! We were happy it opened again & was unsure if it was as good as before so we tried it today. We both had the brisket & smoked mac & cheese. Kim had beans & I had coleslaw. The food is very good & the staff is very friendly. We will definitely be back!

I drove some distance specifically to try this place out but it had a sign on the door that they were temporarily closed. If you operate a restaurant you kind of need to be open during your advertised hours. I will try again and update.

Stopped by for lunch. Pulled pork was moist without being greasy. Sides were great. Brought dessert home to have woth dinner and we were very pleased woth the flavor and quality.Friendly service as well!

Waited about 15 minutes for my food. I got the pulled pork sandwich and Mac n cheese. The pulled pork was really good, but I paid 5 bucks for a small cup of clumpy, luke warm Mac n cheese. Yuck. They didn't even give me a fork to eat it with. Too bad I got it to go, otherwise I would have given it back and got my money back. Gross.

I loved this place!!! Having lived in the south the majority of my life, I have had my fair share of barbecue and definitely developed a taste for what I like and what I don’t… but this place is among one of my favorites now! The brisket sandwich was delicious and the fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. And to top it off, the staff were all so welcoming and friendly! Seriously a place worth a try if you’re thinking about it!!

Like BBQ? If so, don’t sleep on Boxcar BBQ in Havelock!! The ribs are so perfectly done that they fell off the bone. Well seasoned and several BBQ sauces to try (the meat is so well done, you don’t need any sauce!) The Meaty Mac with pulled pork was melt in your mouth delicious. And I’m usually not a big fan of fries but these were seasoned to perfection and the perfect amount of crispy. We loved all the sauces but the Apricot BBQ was so good I asked to buy some for our upcoming rehearsal dinner. Staff are fun and easy to talk to which made our visit even better!

Yum yum and yum. Pretty darn good BBQ served in a quaint and clean "joint" in an older part of town. The burnt ends were a special served with a roll and honey butter. Pretty good, and hubby liked his brisket sandwich which was a chopped type rather than sliced. The ribs were a real winner for me, the St Louis style with the little tiny bones at the top. Very tender, nice spice, really tasty. All the sauces were great, we sampled several and the side we got were the fries which were absolutely freaking amazing. I guess the best recommendation we can give is that we're probably going back tomorrow for more.

Amazing bbq!!! Best in Lincoln BY FAR. Highly recommend the sampler plate for your first time. Clean and friendly atmosphere with super attentive and generous staff. Food came out within 5 minutes and was nice and hot. Favorites of the meal were the ribs and pulled pork. Apricot bbq sauce and the boxcar sauce were a solid 10/10 as well. Go support these lovely people and get yourself some real good bbq!

That wonderful smell when you walk through the door means you are going to get great food. This place would hold it's own among Kansas City BBQ places. Lincoln might be a new place for BBQ.Oh yeah, the fries are crispy and tasty. They even have a dipping sauce for them as well. Everything is great here.

If you like BBQ ribs this is the place to eat! Meaty tender fall off the bone ribs are delicious. We shared a full rack and still had to bring home several ribs. Friendly staff and good service. We'll be back.

Sides - average baked beans, had chunks of bbq included. Mac N cheese - again average, very simple but good.Ribs - decent flavor, little greasy.Pulled pork - that was pretty good, light smoke flavor.Burnt ends- pretty tiny cube, they were ok. I would prefer my burnt ends be a little chunkier.A 4 is my rating. If it weren't for the friendly staff and owner, I would have given it a three to three and a half. Playing actual blues music over the speaker was a huge plus for me.
