Had the jambalaya! Really good and the portion is so much took home sum for another meal ! Also the downstairs bar Starlite Lounge excellent place to have a drink bartenders and prices are great!

I came in yesterday, this place was recommended to me by a few ppl. The service was okay, however the food was horrible. Mind you, I live in the south, the gator bites were extremely chewy, the rice & beans were extremely salty, & the rice wasn’t even cooked thoroughly. I ordered the Rasta Pasta for an entree, they literally just took a dollop of the jerk paste & just placed it on top of the chicken. Now, I’ve tried to give the benefit of the doubt, I mixed it in & gave it a bite. I was really sure if I liked it, so I gave it another bite. The second bite confirmed a no for me so I pushed it to the side. The waitress came by asked if everything was okay, I told her the rice & beans were but the pasta no, not at all. She asked if there was anything else she could get me, she could get me a menu, I told her no thanks, you can just take it off, because I was already turned off, didn’t want anything else. I asked for my check, she brings it to me, & the pasta is still on the bill.. why am I paying for something I didn’t eat, that’s literally like paying full price for a service you didn’t receive. I even voiced, “The fact I’m paying full price for something I didn’t eat is crazy,” her response was “well I could get yu something else.” The correct action would’ve been to take it off the check, for the simple fact I did not eat it.. At this point I was over it & ready to go. She got her 20% tip (it would’ve been more, had she made the correct decision,) & I left. However, I will not be returning, first impressions are everything, & mine was not great.

Great place. Service was bad, though they started really well. Got the alligator fingers and a buffalo burger. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food. The lounge in the basement was the place to be.

Great atmosphere! Had the Gator bites (so yummy) and the Cajun Combo. Hush puppies taste like flour as opposed to corn meal, blackened fish was perfect, rice was authentic and the jambalaya was ok. Not too spicy at all (which I appreciate). Other members of my party had the Mac (which they raved about) and the corn chowder (which I tried and thought it was INCREDIBLE)! Great time! I always think places like this should have cheap readers lying around. A few of the guys had trouble reading the menu. Just a thought!

This is my favorite place in the Haymarket! The food is always delicious and the variety is just fantastic. The staff is always friendly and the wait staff is friendly and attentive.

We were seated quickly, having called ahead. The waitress came within 5 minutes and took our order. Then came the wait. Our waitress was very busy but came back and refilled our drinks. After waiting an hour I went to the front and asked to speak with a manager. Soon a lady came to the front. I asked if she was the manager. She told me the managers were busy and could she help? I told her we had been waiting an hour. At this point she went off on me, telling me how the managers were busy and having them come to the front wouldn’t help things and how people were being mean to the wait staff. I tried to tell her I was just wanting them to know about our situation. She handed me the business cards of the managers and said I could call if I wanted. There was no apology for the long wait or telling us they would have it to us as soon as they could. The managers need to find someone else to interact with customers wanting a manager. With all the restaurant choices in Lincoln Buzzard Billy’s won’t even be considered.

buzzard billy's was the PERFECT spot to host our large party for a work dinner, and accommodated us on the fly! our server, adriana, was exceptional. she was very attentive and personable to all the guests in our group. her table side dessert service was amazing as well! the bartender, emma, was super quick sending out our drinks and they were all made so perfectly. the food and the vibes were wonderful. thank you buzzards!
The place was packed and we still got our food fast. Friendly staff and food was great. I definitely will be back.

The Shrimp Gabrielle appetizer is superb and the sauce goes well on any of the Po’ Boys. One of the best Sazeracs in town. 10/10

Giving 5 stars because we always love this place but this time I picked up fettuccini Alfredo and there is no Alfredo cheese at all on these noodles! It’s watery noodles with not very tasty chicken. Am sharing so the kitchen doesn’t send Alfredo out like this ever again. Ordered tonight, picked up about twenty minutes ago. Will continue to go back as this is the first time I haven’t had 5 star food.
