First time I tried cocky’s it was sooo good. But this time, the ‘Texas toast’ with my sandwich was not toasted.. and it seems to be just regular bread. On top of that, the side order of Mac n cheese we ordered wasn’t in the bag but we got charged for it.. Went back to get the Mac n cheese but no one is helping… never coming here again

We came from out of state and happened to check out this chicken dive and honestly it was phenomenally good for fast food the elote " Mexican corn " was amazing and the chicken ? I was obsessed and sad they didn't have more chains . They did forget my cheddar biskits but I forgive them it's a typical teenage kid at the window who probably totally forgot I don't think it's a constant problem like some places just based off the quality. Do it ! Lol

It's just a diner that seems to specialize in fried foods, but it's very good at what it does. The food only took a few minutes from order to table. The service was outstanding -- I think the two people on the wait staff are the owners. Our group of four was there for the first time, and we all agreed that we want to go there again sometime.

Great chicken! A must try! We were traveling, and stopped for the night in Lincoln, Nebraska. My wife wanted good chicken, so I searched for the best chicken in Lincoln, and this place came up! We looked at their menu and we didn't need a family dinner for just the 2 of us, so we picked the second most popular item on the menu, the 5 piece chicken tender meal. With the meal you get: 5 good sized chicken tenders, a healthy sized side, and a cheddar biscuit. The biscuit was absolutely delicious, it rivals that big lobster chains attempt. The side I chose was french fries, they were just right. And finally, the chicken. These tenders are, or were, tasty, all white meat, and breading that was made from scratch. The chicken was juicy and satisfying (that's what she said). There was a touch of residual heat, which was a bit more than I like. But, to be fair, I'm a pretty bland eater, and the BBQ sauce balanced it nicely. My wife had the same, but with mashed potatoes and brown gravy (they also offer white gravy). The serving size was probably twice as large as most places. She said it was very good. It appears that they have multiple locations, so definitely stop by one if you find yourself in the area. I assume that the consistency of their food will translate to all locations as well, so you should have a great meal!

I have been here before and the food was pretty good…but what inspired me to come and write this review was the CATFISH. It’s amazing! From the crispy batter to the tender catfish and the perfect flavoring of spices…it’s so good! Go try it! Best in town!!!? ?

Normally love this place but the kids working there are horrible. They take twice as long to make food that is twice as bad. Today they tried to overcharge me for the daily special, lied about giving me the discount, and ended up shorting me on food. Absolutely ridiculous

Expensive Bottled beer and slim chicken combo. Go to KFC and buy your own beer, save money and get better chicken

Was in town for work and decided to give this place a try. I got the cocky chicken sandwich. It wasn't a terrible sandwich but the chicken tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for a while. It was tough and dry. Hard to chew and definitely needed plenty of drink to get it down. The cocky sauce had a sweetness to it that wasn't bad and the veggies tasted nice and fresh. If the chicken had been fresh this would have been a great sandwich. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.

Their chicken sandwich is delicious-and big! The sauce on it is some of the best I've ever had. It has a bit of buffalo and a bit of cajun. Pleasant, easy going atmosphere also. The staff are super nice.
I know prices are up. And, so I’m not complaining about spending over 15.00 for 2 pieces of chicken. But, when this place first opened quality was top notch. Every time I go back now, it’s gotten worse and worse. Chicken I got today was literally almost impossible to eat. Skin was like leather, and the meat was very dry and bland. I had to throw half of it out. Maybe I’ll try something different on the menu next time.

Pulled up on 3 different occasions, ordered a family meal worth over 30$ and tried to get 2 orders of Mexican corn with my meal. Each time, no matter what time I pulled up, they lied to me and said “we do not have enough to give you 2 orders of Mexican corn, can I get you something else.”Mind you, if you order 1 order of a six piece Mexican corn, it’s over ten dollars. They’ll gladly serve you then.. We should be able to pull in a drive Thru and order 2 orders of anything if we wanted and that’s why I’m so frustrated with this place. Hustle you for good food service…They’ll look you in the eyes, kindly lie to you and take your money. Won’t be eating there again..

I'm giving this place 5 stars because it had the best catfish I've had in Lincoln so far. The Irish whiskey was a nice touch too. The white beans were yummy and the coleslaw was better than average. I walked in expecting a drive in with chicken, and walked out happier than I've been with the catfish dinner I wasn't expecting. Under 20 dollars for that and a double shot of Jameson. Spectacular!

This was are first time back in a few months, previously food was outstanding and worth the drive across town. This time we encountered disinterested staff and food that was average at best. Chicken tenders were definitely smaller than our last visit a few months ago. We loved this place when it first opened but sadly it seems to have fallen in quality since then.
