We went to Daffodil tonight for the first time ever. What a delight to have in Lincoln, Ne! The owner, oh my goodness, the sweetest woman you have ever met! The food was absolutely delicious! It's like walking into a place where they've known you forever, and grandma doesn't let you leave until you're full! What a treasure of a place! Thank you for such a lovely experience!! We will definitely be back again!

Rich flavors and an even richer host. Truly a gem - we were given an entire sample plate before we ordered, just so we would be able to pick our favorite.

Very homie restaurant. It's like having your grandmother in the kitchen. Multiple tasty and authentic dishes to choose from.

The good: The food was excellent. It was in a buffet style where owner described the dish and served a sample. Owner was pleasant as was the atmosphere.

The bad: i wanted the advertised gyros plate for $15.99. It was not available because she couldn’t cut the meat due to a stroke. No big deal as we had sampled the buffet and liked it. However, we did not think to ask the price. For a plate of rice and some lamb the price was $29.99. Total bill for four plates two drinks and a dessert was $124.48. We asked for a paper receipt which she could not provide; no printer. So she let us take a picture of her iPad with the statement.

If you eat here and you don’t like surprises make sure to ask the price before ordering.

Food was good. Service seemed fine. She offered his samples but when she rang a sub that's when the games began. We had dinner at the Green Gateau for five(2 kids) for a little over a hundred Fri night. Lunch Sat at daffodils was more. Prices rung up on iPad were higher than on chalkboard. Won't be back.

Absolutely wonderful place

I was traveling through from Maryland. Looking for authentic flavor . The tart pomegranate chicken was excellent!!! As good/better than Filipino chicken adobo. Better than Italian piccata I had by Italian chef on a cruise. Better than chicken Kiev by Ukrainian chef.
Chik peas and falafels were great also!

Come here for the flavor not price or atmosphere. This poor lady is recovering from stroke and still makes great meal.

As a foodie Persian, I can tell you that Daffodil has the best Persian food I have had for a LONG LONG time. The food is very authentic and is made with love, passion, as patience, just like what my mother or grandmother used to cook at home which is almost impossible to get at a restaurant. And you don’t need to be Persian to love the food, it would satisfy and please any taste. The owner is righteously very proud of the meals she cooks (she cooks every meal herself) and uses quality ingredients. She kindly allowed us to taste a sampler of any dish we were interested in before we ordered it to make sure we loved what we got definitely recommend trying this place. It is worth every penny.
