We have always enjoyed going to this restaurant on 48th and Van Dorn anytime we’re in Lincoln as a special treat to enjoy authentic Mexican food. Because of everything going on in the world, I feel like they purposely took advantage of us being white and our food was nothing like it usually is. The bean tostada had a burnt flour tortilla lathered in grease for the bottom and one on top also, and the plate of street tacos,. The Carne Asada was actually pink and not cooked all the way, and the rolled tacos were not cooked all the way and were cold in the middle. We have never experienced anything like this at this restaurant and it has always been our favorite that we will never return there again as we learned our lesson.

In terms of food, I personally thought it was pretty salty and honestly a lil expensive as one birria taco was $4 and the portions didn’t even justify it! Maybe I’ll come back here another time to try a combo or something, but I wouldn’t recommend their birria tacos lol
Howevrr, shout out to the staff though for being patient and helpful with a mishap while we were there though. They were nice and responsive to the situation, which I appreciated.
As for the decor, def interesting vibes because they had gambling machines in there and the dining area looked like it was from the 70s.

I was completely ripped off!!! 5 mini tacos. All onions!! Almost no meat!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!! 15 bucks for a pile of fried onions
Got a number 13. No cabbage. Lettuce. I hate hot lettuce. Only time. Very angry

Food is consistently good. My issue is the same at every location. They do a switch and bait with the prices. Must be their typical way of business because I have experienced it al at least 4 different locations. Watch your receipts and make sure you get what you pay for.

I use to love this on a regular basis until they finally decided to put a hard long green stem inside of my burrito it looked like the stem part off a jalapeño but know way they could of missed it while they were rolling it up it was just that long I could’ve choked it wasn’t found before hand….I’ll just make my own food, haterz...I called them out on no apologies or no concern.
