We love this place...and Everytime we are here everything tastes really good and just SLIGHTLY different.... Meaning they don't just have a bunch of frozen items that are premade they warm up....HUGE plus for Mexican food. Drinks are great too...and they'll make flour chips upon request which is a huge bonus in my book. The family that owns this place does an awesome job!! Sometimes service is a bit slower....but it's only when you can tell they are BUSY... So it's never a matter of the service being slow and wondering what the employees are even doing... You can see them moving like crazy. Makes waiting during the "slow" much more reasonable and understandable. Usually food always comes out much quicker than we think it will!

I love this place. The food is delicious! Everything I have tried has been outstanding. They have some of the best carnitas I've ever eaten, tender, and full of flavor. If you're in Lincoln, NE, and want delicious, authentic Mexican food and friendly service, this is the place. Next time I'm here, I'll get pictures before it's all gone!

The beef and the chicken burritos were delicious! The refried beans are seasoned well and taste good by themselves. (Usually, in my experience, the refried beans are so tasteless I need a sauce on them.)The House Lime Margarita is good!The entire place has carved chairs, booths, tables ... just beautiful! (Especially if you like/love horses! Thus, El Potro="The Foal")The restaurant is clean and "lived in"... You can tell it's an old building. (former Pizza Hut) That's not a bad thing, just an observation. I remember going there when the building was the pizza place.Vegetarian options: There would be, what I consider, vegetarian items.I would call the restaurant for more information.Dietary restrictions: I suggest calling the restaurant for more information.Parking: Other businesses close so cars could spill into those lots of that was needed.Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids!Babies too! Hands down the best, most authentic Mexican food in Lincoln, and this is coming from a man who moved up here from Texas!! Their food is so good, I enjoy the Pollo Fundido, and my wife gets the Molcajete, and it is delicious every time. the service is always good, and friendly.

I popped in to try this on a lunch break. I ordered from the regular menu, and the food was still delivered to my table hot and smelling just as delicious as it tasted. Quick, courteous staff, great food, and well decorated. The place only had a few empty tables on a Wednesday lunch. That in itself should tell you I'm not the only person who thinks this place is great. The food looked wonderful, I don't have a picture because I dove right into it.I'm definitely going to be showing this place to my friends.

If you go during the day, the service is great, and they answer your questions. Tonight we went, and the waitress, who spoke little to us and did not understand my question. I asked about a dish under the chicken section to see if it could be done with shrimp, and she said si. I ordered it with shrimp, and no onions, and added a side of beans. It comes out chicken, with onions no beans. Told her it was wrong, she said shrimp, and she went and brought cold shrimp and some beans. And I paid for queso that was cold before my meal came. When I got the bill, I was charged for the chicken meal, a side of shrimp, and my beans. Explained to the owner, they stood at the waitress area talking. I handed them the money to pay the bill and said I won't be back. No tip. Train your staff to understand the customer. Don't just agree and not understand. Yes, I knew the dish would be more with shrimp, but it's easier for me to chew. Again none of this occurs during the day the queso stays nicely, and the waitress understands you
