Having come from Portland, the vegan food capital of the states, I was surprised that goldenrod is likely my favorite bakery of all time. They have really creative items, that change seasonally, and I’ve been really impressed with the quality and freshness. The staff is very kind, and accommodating, and it is simple to call ahead and coordinate items to pick up, or even special order items before hand. They also have a cute area inside that is like a bookstore. This is our go to place for treats, and I have heard good things from people that do and don’t eat plant-based alike. 😊 I find out the prices are very reasonable, for the quality ingredients and items that they use, and their flavors are tasteful, classy, and not overly sweet from someone who has a pretty high standard of tasty thoughtful food.
I would recommend their products, as well as going early enough to get them while they are still warm for extra tasty gooey goodness!

Vegetarian options: All the pastries I’ve seen so far have been been vegetarian haha, as they have been sweet ones, and it should be doable to find something really tasty regardless of common dietary needs.
Dietary restrictions: I am very impressed, especially as this is Nebraska, They have phenomenal and multiple vegan options, and quite good gluten-free options, as some of the vegan options are also gluten-free, but I haven’t minded at all although not GF personally. They also have gluten-free and dairy free options if needed as well.
Parking: The main parking area by the Mill coffee, it often full, understandably, but there are plenty of residential streets nearby if so, and if it’s not too much of an undue hardship to walk half a block or so.

Always love coming in here. Pastries are pretty good, but there are a few that I have not been extremely impressed with. Overall, I do like their pastries, and they are dietary-restriction-friendly. Pastries are expensive, but fair price for the quality you are receiving. Staff is always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and I enjoy getting to see the workers baking the pastries fresh.

I bought a delicious cake here for my toddler’s birthday party. I had to pick it up with my newborn baby in tow, and couldn’t find a parking spot anywhere close to the store. Shout-out to front desk employee Claire, who kindly helped me carry the cake 2 blocks back to where I’d parked, and then loaded it in the car for me!
Any time we go to Lincoln, we make a special run to Goldenrod. My wife loves the cinnamon rolls, and i love the fruit crumble buns (or whatever they're called)

Hostile attitudes & rushing you when deciding what to get. I get the same feeling when I go into LuLuLemon- like I’m not good enough to be in there.
