I found myself in Lincoln Nebraska at the end of a long day recently. I was parked on the side of the street and looked around to see where I could eat before a 3 hour drive to my next destination when I saw Honest Abe's burgers just across the street from where I was parked. Always love to stop at an Abe's when in Lincoln. The burger patties alone won't win any awards but the flavors they combine to top the burgers are almost always amazing. Also can't go wrong with a side of truffle fries. Great place to stop if you want something a bit different but also want a burger.
This place was rad. I usually go downtown, but was not in the mood to battle game crowds. Mom was in town, so this was her first trip to Abes. We both have food allergies, and they were on point about it. Kat was running the kitchen like a hot ship through a butter sea. Even the biggest waves were just a matter of steering the staff. It was lovely to watch as a former cook. Definitely coming back to this location a whole lot.
