Usually love the food, but today - I went in at just after 8:00 for a baguette and was told there were none ready yet. Odd for a bakery. I asked when they might be available (I'd driven 20 minutes to the store) and the clerk said he'd check for me. Very nice 😊. Several minutes later he came back and said they'd just been finished. Hooray! Fresh baguette! So he brought me one, I paid and left. What a disappointment to find that it was not only not warm (just finished?), but not fresh! Day-old is pretty easy to spot. Shame on you.

Bakeries like such that serve sandwiches are hidden gems. Fresh house made bread with minimal ingredients. The French dip on fresh ciabatta is fantastic. The au jus is the richest, deepest flavor I’ve had.

We stepped into Le Quartier for the very first time. A young woman whose soulful smile felt like sunshine took our order, and we left clutching a morning bun and a lemon bar.
Back home, I pulled my sun chair into the shade of a grand eastern cottonwood tree. With a steaming cup of Turkish coffee in hand and the Le Quartier box on my lap, my first bite of the morning bun filled me with the harmonious blend of the buttery flakiness, sweet-spicy cinnamon sugar, and caramelized edges.
My peaceful moment was delightfully interrupted by two squirrels who occupy that tree “rent-free.” I broke off tiny pieces of the bun for them. They loved it—and begged for more—but I was content to keep the rest for myself.
The lemon bar was simply perfect—bright, tangy, and just sweet enough. Will I return?
Absolutely yes. It sets the tone for the whole week ahead, and I’m grateful for these quiet, delicious mornings.

The quality of all the breads is above average. However, since it’s a busy bakery, there always seems to be a mistake. On my first visit, they missed one of my pre-ordered items, and on the second, they gave me the wrong bread. If you place a pre-order, make sure to double check your items before leaving!

Lincoln has a pretty decent French bakery in a pretty good location. I ordered a sticky bun, 2 almond croissants, a berry and cream danish, and 2 ham and cheese croissants. Everything was just ok. Our pastries seem old and not fresh but that might not be the norm. Customer service was blah and the atmosphere was not that warm or inviting. Would I return? Nope 👎🏽 But if you never been I would suggest you try them at least once to see if you get a different outcome and experience.

We ordered ahead for Christmas and when I went they did not have my order. I sat for 15 min until they finally found it. I understood because they were busy so I let it go.

I then preordered rolls and orange rolls for Easter. After 20 min and 3 checks in the back they couldn’t find my order. I had my confirmation email and finally convinced them to just make my order on the fly. So they did, however they didn’t even bother to put anything in a bag to help me carry it out. At this point I was very annoyed but thought oh well.

I then received a call at 3pm asking when I’d be in to pick up my order……

Fast forward to Easter morning… the orange rolls were old and had zero moisture and both my kids looked at me and go “these don’t even taste like orange.”

Considering what is charged I am strongly disappointed in the lack of organization and lately the quality. Unfortunately after 2 bad experiences I don’t think I’ll do holiday preorders ever again.

By far the best bakery in Lincoln. You’ll pay a little more for great quality products. Their sourdough loafs are fantastic and all their bakery items slap. Love coming here!

Sandwiches are great, fruit is never good, and the cinnamon rolls are awesome but they never have any. Ordered 3 sandwiches, they gave me the bag of food and said it was all there, got back home clear across town and noticed they only gave us two sandwiches so one of us just didn't get to eat. You guys owe me $10 for a sandwich I never got.
