My nacho order was not served hot not even warm. Disappointed, the cheese was still cold.

I ordered a ribeye and got a cut of New York strip and was charged for the ribeye. The New York Strip had a good taste, but could of used steak sauce. If that is saying anything! My waitress was awesome!!

Delicious food, but "Steak House", in my opinion, is a technically correct but overstated term in this case. Yes, there is a small steak section on the back of the menu, but it was a pool hall or bar at best. Don't get me wrong, the food was excellent, but it's a seat-youself establishment where the bartender is your server who couldn't have cared less about us. Not rude, but certainly not "Steak House" caliber. I should have dug through online reviews instead of assuming this was a classier establishment based on the name.

Came in around 7pm on a Friday. Absolutely chaotic. Nowhere to sit, no help finding a seat. Was told to "wait for someone to leave then go sit there." OKs, so we did that, and sat there with the previous customers dishes for about 20mins till the server realized we were new customers.Other than that, the food was OK but underwhelming.

Was completely disappointed in the Reuben. Went to take a bite out of it and it was so hard and chewy I couldn't even eat the sandwich. Meat was the consistency of not cooked, wiggly bacon but much harder. Ordered the FOX fries and loved those though.

Food was decent for the most part. Not a steak house or lounge vibe at all . Kids running everywhere like a play house . Vibe is not steak house lounge . More like kids play house .

1-27-2024 I went to lunch with some friends, around about 2pm. Several tables were cluttered with dishes so we sat at a high top. Ordered an appetizer: Breaded mushrooms and cauliflower, which was nice and hot. We then ordered a Catch-All Philly Sandwich, Chicken Bacon Cheddar Ranch Sandwich and a Jalapeño Cream Cheese Burger which we all had french fries. The fries were ice cold and our sandwiches were barley warm. We were told that the kitchen would rather "reheat" it all, instead of making it fresh. We then paid for the appetizer and went somewhere else for lunch. I haven't been to this establishment for years and I don't plan on going back after this.Sincerely.Disappointed customers.

First time visiting here after living in Lincoln for a decade, was going to go to another bar close but decided to finally give Red Fox a try. First of all, they didn't have any beer on tap due to frozen lines, understandable in this weather so no big deal however their drink special was on-tap beer. When asked if they had another special since the one, they have advertised is unavailable and they didn't. Asked if they had any food specials with it being a Monday, they also did not. Decided to try the wings which were okay in flavor definitely previously frozen, still not bad. They do not offer anything like celery, carrots etc. to go with the wings. Another of our party ended up ordering a Philly as the restaurant was out of lettuce so he changed what he would have originally ordered, which I find odd as they are directly across from a grocery store, but okay. The flavor of the meat was okay, but the bun was soggy, so soggy it fell apart in the first bite, ended up having to eat it with a fork. Ordered the fox fries, not sure if that was how they were supposed to be, but they were not crispy at all, very thick and under fried in my opinion. The waitress was nice enough and did apologize after spilling au ju sauce on one of our parties' hands when delivering food, luckily it wasn't hot-which is a problem of its own. The atmosphere I was pleasantly surprised with. I did not know they had a shuffle ball table and would have visited earlier had I know that, or it was advertised better. Our food came out quick which was nice however I would have rather they spent a little more time making it better. I will give them another try as it was a Monday in January and maybe they were just having an off day. Would return for beer (if they have any) and some shuffleboard...not sure if I would return for food. Overall there are a lot better choices in Lincoln for "regular bar food". Will edit this post if food quality and taste increase on the next visit. Overall I would give it 2.5 stars.... bar atmosphere rounded it up to a 3.

Ordered the nachos. Reminded me of late night gas station trips after drinking at a bar. Chips engulfed in naco cheese sauce and little else. Very disappointed. Husband was not impressed with the Alfredo pasta.

The food is always average at best. Last time I was there, they were completely out of every chicken item on the menu. Service is less than friendly and usually have to flag them down if you need something.

Sold out of most major menu items and many sides. Too crowded and crazy for party of 6. We had to go elsewhere for food.

We have been coming to Red Fox for nearly 20 years and always good food and fast service. Today was a horrible experience. The building was so cold I had to wear my coat and still felt cold. The service was also awful. Screwed up our order and especially bad because that involved forgetting the children’s order. Our food was cold. Not just for me but our whole party of 6. I don’t know what’s changed but not anxious to return. So sad?
