Ordered take out was really wanting some steak tacos. The steak was mush. It wasn’t very appetizing. I was expecting real steak not whatever that was. Service was okay, they didn’t know their menu very well. Can yall get carne asada or skirt steak because this was softer than overcooked chicken inna crock pot.

I have to give a shoutout to Rusty Taco for the absolutely incredible customer service that they provided to me and my office today. We had placed a large catering order through a 3rd party that was cancelled overnight by the 3rd party app. I reached out at 7:30am (before the store even opened), and the manager took my call and assured me that he could still honor my large order for today. He even took care of the hassle of calling the third party to help settle it- AND the food was 10 minutes early and he took care of all of the setup.
I cannot thank them enough for coming through and the office absolutely loved every item we received. I cannot recommend them enough for individual, small or large catering orders!

They were super accommodating to changing the vegetarian tacos to vegan! My first order of two tacos was wrong and included cheese after I asked for none. But they remade them for me and gave an extra one! I wish there were more straightforward vegan options but loved the cauliflower and plant based chorizo!!

Walking in, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy. The menus is unique, diverse, and well presented and the overall branding of the restaurant is appealing. It’s a cool atmosphere but the food was lacking. I had the Rocoto Spice Chicken Taco which is listed to be spicy, but was lacking in heat and tenderness, and the Bbq Brisket taco had good flavor but the meat was too dry. I prefer a good fresh corn tortilla, but the ones I had were dry and didn’t appear fully cooked, which is not a good mouth feel. It’s like having undercooked potatoes. What sets apart an OK taco shop from a great one is flavor and texture. The great shops have dialed in every aspect of the taco (the tortilla, the fresh cilantro/onion/peppers, and fresh tender flavorful and juicy meat);Rusty Taco didn’t have these aspects dialed in.

We have always loved the food at Rusty taco but my experience Friday made me write this review. We ordered and were waiting and after awhile hadn’t got our takeout food. Turns out someone took it. The manager immediately started remaking it and made it more than right with us and kept apologizing. It was true customers service even when it wasn’t fully their fault! And the tacos are awesome! Great job!

We have had good experiences at this Rusty Taco. But in May we were overcharged by about $60. Our mistake we didn't ask for a paper receipt, and noticed it first on our bank statement. We went to the restaurant to rectify the situation and the worker said they would have the manager contact us by phone. We never got a call. We called back and still no response. They have lost our business. The funny thing is we probably would have returned and they would have received more than the $60 in overcharges. It used to be our regular Friday night stop.
