Steak 'n Shake

I almost did not try it based on some of the reviews and I am so happy I gave it a shot myself! Good was fast, fresh and great, service was friendly and my shake was perfect. I got an original double and fries and received it in less than five minutes. I will definitely be back!

i went to this steak and shake recently when i was visiting UNL and i just wanna say i was so impressed!! The service was amazing and there were 3 employees specifically that were amazing I didn’t get the name of the 2 girls but the manager Mikey was so helpful and kind!!

Okay, is this location ever actually open anymore? Every time I pass by it's closed and shuttered. I suggest you look elsewhere for lunch on campus.

I feel sorry for this company. Half of the reviews of this restaurant are people with way to much anger and time on their hands. I tell you what. I had a great experience there. It did take about 9 minutes to get my hot delicious hamburger and a vanilla shake. Not the greatest and not the worst. In fact it was greasey, the teenager behind the counter did not want to be there but he was not rude. I mean what teenager wants to work? It's hard to find anyone to work. I don't post a lot because I don't have time but these reviews are not 100% accurate. I am not saying they are all untrue but have a little patience and decernment. Realize we are in a different world and no matter how much customer service is lacking everywhere, everyone and I mean everyone has to deal with too. Just remember everyone has a bad day and not matter where you go there is always going to be someone or something that rubs you the wrong way.

Not open on Sundays as stated on Google and website.

I ordered and waited patiently for 2 double cheeseburgers and an order of fries. The people that came in and order after me got 4 burgers and 4 fries before I did. I was told by a manager aftar .5 hours that they were bagging my food and they had a big order before me (but the people that ordered before me got theirs, and ordered at the kiosk?). 7-10 minutes later I realized I could no longer wait and had to leave, no choice, people have time limits- lunch/ dinner breaks, etc. I informed management I had to leave and could no longer wait, I would just like a refund. He said the same thing, they are bagging your food. (I have worked in fast food. It does not take up to 10 minutes to bag 2 burgers and one fry.) I told him I was told that 7-10 minutes earlier and I could no longer wait and must leave, and suggested they feed them employees, because I have no other choice. I asked for a refund. At this point, I was being polite. He said, “No, We do not give refunds.” I said, “Seriously? You are going to make me take this up with my credit card company?” He said yes. I said, “Fine.” I set my soda, napkins, and straw down on the cooler and left. His response? A snotty “Thanks.” Please realize, having worked fast food and retail, I know both absolutely suck and I know what it is like being overwhelmed. But don’t tell people their small order is being bagged and make them wait about 10 minutes longer. I never wright reviews, but this was over the top. “We don’t give refunds.” Ok.

Are they still open? It looks like it's closed when I go there but this place is amazing! Anyone who says otherwise can go eat some nasty McDonald's.

All employees standing on their phones. Took 20 minutes to get one shake. Wouldnt take gift cards. Employees rude and disrespectful.

what a pathetic excuse for a steak and shake. I thought they'd get their stuff together after that several month closure, but no; it still is not good. not only did they not give me one of my items, what they did give me was a sad excuse for a steak and shake meal. extremely disappointed.

Drive all the way from 70th and Adams tonight to finally get some chili 5 ways. I grew up on Steak n Shake in Illinois and I have to say I remember it quite differently. They closed 10 minutes early right in front of my face. Very disappointed in customer service. Make that NO SERVICE! And as I sit here typing this review, I'm watching employees bringing out free food to their friends and taking bags for themselves. I think this complaint is going to stretch beyond local management. I have hoped for the past 35 years for Steak and Shake to come to Lincoln Nebraska. What a disappointment.

Didn't have my food on time, never gave my the side of Chilli Cheese Fries even though I paid for them, and the employees weren't wearing their masks/had their masks down while preparing my food! Food tastes good, awful service.

The people who work here are always super professional, and they’ll do the most to make sure you have the best experience possible. Super great place!
