Absolutely the best place to watch any games, including the Southwest High School games. The staff is always welcoming and the atmosphere is amazing!! The menu has many options that you won't find at a regular sports bar. And the food is top-notch!!

if you’re looking for a good place to go, I’d recommend the Hawks nest. There’s great food and also the servers take care of you and I’ve noticed in my three times there that they have to juggle a lot, but they still take care of you however the owner and the kitchen manager, I’ve caught on multiple occasions, smelling like alcohol off their breath they go out to tables and then they talk to you, which is nice. It’s it’s a lost art and today’s world, but I’ve noticed a little smell of alcohol and then also with the kitchen manager. I’ve noticed him slurring his words if you go there past nine you’ll catch the owner also slurring his words overall is a great place to go great food great service. I just don’t feel like anyone who in charge should be drinking alcohol on the job.

Our server, Emina was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations. The beer was cold and Emina was quick with the refills. Everyone should celebrate a professional server! We haven’t been to this neighborhood bar in a few years and were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back!

The Hawks Nest is one of our favorite local bars/restaurants in Lincoln! Their food is outstanding! The appetizers, pizzas, burgers and salads are delicious! They have a lot of options for everyone. Great atmosphere and service!

This place was horrible!!! I guess if your DRUNK, it's not bad ? but sober,IT'S BAD.... THis place was Dirty.... FILTHY DISHY EVEYWHERE. The floor was sticky kids standing on chairs . When we finally did get our pizza was burnt, it was like they forgot we had a pizza ordered. Togo, we will never be back again, one of the nastiest places I have ever been....

A friend and I stopped in to enjoy a couple beers and probably grab a bite to eat. We sit up at the bar and I ask the bartender gal (I think her name was Abby) if she could change the tv monitor in front of us to the college World Series game. She was really rude and crabby with me and my request. She eventually did it but she had a bad attitude towards us the rest of our stay. She didn’t even ask us if we wanted to order any food or more beers. So we had one and decided to leave. Headed over to Tanners where we got much more friendlier service. It’s a shame, it was my first time there was excited to try the place out. I, personally, won’t ever go back because of the treatment we got over asking to have one of the tv’s switched. Nobody’s perfect and maybe she was having a bad day who knows? This review is more to let her managers and/or owners know what I experienced so she doesn’t do it to someone else. Have a good day.

Every lunch meal I've eaten there has been over the top, although I've only had the French dip, a Philly cheesesteak and, of late, the filling chicken sandwich. As delicious as these have been, I'll be trying their pizza soon, which I expect will also be great. Service has always been quick and helpful. The only slight drawback is the noise level as they fill up but that's to be expected at a sports bar. Keep up the good work, guys.
