Let me paint the picture of my time at 'A Hot Mess' – and yes, the name truly speaks for itself. From the get-go, I felt the energy. The first encounter with Steven, well, let's just say his demeanor matched the bar's name perfectly. The whole 'pay as you go' policy? Totally fine, but did it have to come with a side of passive-aggressive vibes? Then, round two, the curly-haired bartender lady stepped in with the same lovely energy as Steven. When I tried to order two drinks at once, it was a hard 'no,' accompanied by a flippant 'because I said so.' Is that how people get treated here? Meanwhile, she's playing favorites with her pals. It's like they had a 'no newcomers allowed' sign flashing above the bar. With other welcoming gay bars in the area, I'd recommend giving this one a hard pass.
Best of the best. Working in town from west coast. Great drinks. Great prices. Can’t beat the atmosphere and the bar tender & patrons are the most friendly I’ve ever come across at a bar.
