Always an excellent meal. We enjoy eating in the cellar the most. Mari is an excellent server.
Very slow service at The Oven recently, which is abnormal. Food was good and flavorful, but didn't make up for how long we had to wait for our drinks, food and checks.
This was our first time at the Oven (and the first experience with Indian food for many of us)...it was AMAZING!!!
We were really excited to try this place but were very disappointed. The service (specifically our waitress) was not good. She never came back to refill drinks even once in the hour and 20 minutes we were there. The food was also not the best. Garlic naan was more like butter naan.
We were seated at 7:00 for a 6:30 reservation. The food was mediocre at best. The sauces tasted like they had been prepared the day before and were simply kept warm on a steam table. We love Indian food, but we won't be back to the Oven. Disappointed in food and service.
One of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten at anywhere in the world! Truly amazing quality and the service is top tier.
The food was fantastic. The atmosphere at this location is great and overall this is one of the top 10 restaurants in Lincoln, NE.
Amazing food, service, and wine. Uptown and downtown equally great. Try the shrimp or salmon vindaloo. So good 🔥

Had breakfast here—went for the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was creamy and spicy enough, biscuits fresh and flaky. Staff were friendly and checked in without being pushy. Parking lot right behind the building, super convenient. Good start to the day, casual and comfy spot.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here recently, and we were both so impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy, romantic evening. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The food? Absolutely incredible. We shared the cheese-stuffed naan (highly recommend!) and both had entrees packed with flavor and depth. I had the chicken moghlai, which was rich and comforting, and my boyfriend loved his lamb dish which was tender, perfectly spiced, and cooked just right.

The food was excellent. Mulligatawny soup was spicy and good. Basmati rice cooked just right. Our entrees were very good as well. Wait staff very curteous. We sat outside on the patio on a gorgeous August night.
We had reservations at 7pm, which we showed up in time for, 20 minutes later still not seated, so we decided to leave.
The Oven is one of the best restaurants in Lincoln. They are always welcoming and friendly, and the food is consistently great. Their beer and wine menu is thoughtful, and the servers are professional. I even learned the correct pronunciation of Mater Paneer during this visit. Please keep up the great work!
Visited with a group, and unfortunately, the restaurant struggled to manage the table. The wait times were extremely long, and several dishes arrived tasting burnt or oddly stale—as if leftover from the previous day. Service felt inattentive and disorganized. While the ambiance had potential, the overall experience fell short. I do not recommend

The oven is a favorite of ours. Lots of delicious vegetarian and nonvegetarian options. Full bar. Good drinks.
