Went here for lunch on a Friday. It wasn't overly busy at the time we went, so we were seated immediately (had a party of 6). The staff were all friendly and helpful that we encountered. The chips and salsa are great! Not your standard tortilla chips and canned salsa. The salsa was more like Pico in that it had a lot of chunks of tomato, pepper, and onion in it rather than being a strictly smooth salsa. The chips had flavoring on them (that's the best way I can describe them) that wasn't quite a taco flavor, but they weren't plain chips like most restaurants serve. Bought a bag of chips and container of salsa to take home so my family could try them (we don't live in Nebraska). Tico's has been my mother's favorite places to eat in Lincoln since the late 70's when one of my sisters was in college there. So at age 89, we had to take her back there since we were in town. Her favorite dish has always been the Ticorito. And of course she didn't branch out to try anything else. Three of our party ordered them, so obviously, it's a fan favorite. I decided to try the make your own bowl option. So many choices of meats, vegetables, cheese it was hard to decide what all to try. My choices worked great together, but you can truly make it to suit your own tastes. Price was in line with any other restaurant of this type. I think all of our meals were between $10-$15, and definitely no more than that. Parking around the area was a little bit of an issue, but mainly due to road construction going on. Will definitely be back if I get the chance!!

The food is just so-so in my opinion. A little over-hyped.
The service and atmosphere are decent, but negative marks for not having a military discount. Seriously, what does it really cost to honor those who've served? It's a tax write-off for establishments.

Tico's is our go to for special occasions. The food is always good. The service is excellent. If using takeout you order can be ready very quickly. Thank you Tico's!

Weirdest restaurant experience ever. We got there around 6:55pm- noticed they closed at 8pm. Saw other people in front of us who were just being seated, so did not think time would be an issue.
Received chips and salsa fairly fast. The salsa tasted more like marinara sauce. It was bad. While looking at the menu I had a feeling this was more like Tex mex food and definitely not authentic. Which is fine.
Ordered some margaritas to begin with. We did not get our drinks until about 7:30pm. I asked for a side of guacamole- didn’t get it until 7:45pm. Which was flavorless and terrible :( No one ever came by to ask what we wanted to order for food.
We ended up online ordering at another food place while we were there!
I’ve always wanted to eat at Ticos- this was my first time there. Interestingly enough- I come and still didn’t even try Ticos.

Circled the block 4 times then parked 2 blocks away. They have a parking 2 sides but it does fill up. It was a Saturday night. Took 1 hour to get our food. Then no refills on drinks were offered. Not very authentic but wasn't bad.

My daughter had 14 of her friends eat at Tico’s for her 16th birthday! Tico’s was fabulous to work with! From easily making reservations to paying the bill. The service was excellent, the food top notch and you cannot beat the atmosphere. They made her sweet 16 memorable.

My server, Madyson i believe, was fantastic. She recommended a special that turned out to be amazing. The chips and salsa were so good, and not a ton like most places.

Great service. Great staff. Steak fajitas are the best you can get anywhere.
It's just okay. I had the steak fajitas and it was mostly green peppers and onions and a little bit of steak for like 19 bucks. I wouldn't order that again.
