The first time I ate at the Toast was several years ago, shortly after they opened, but the people in my party got sick from the food. I have eaten at one of their affiliated restaurants several times and always enjoyed it, so I decided to give the Toast another try since it is convenient to our home. We arrived at about 4:30 PM and waited at the entrance to be seated. When I say waited, that is exactly what I mean...we didn't see any staff for a minimum of 10 minutes...NONE. When someone did come out of the back carrying a customers meal, they walk by us but didn't even acknowledge us as waiting.
It could have been shift change when we came in because after being seated and ordering, I began to see more wait staff, not just the one waitress who seated us and took our order. Additionally I saw several wait staff standing around at the end of the bar and at least two were drinking alcohol. (I know they were staff as I had seen one of them bringing out food earlier but didn't see them working after they started drinking.)
Our food was satisfactory but the waitress we had never came around to ask about the food or refill our drinks. When she dropped off our check, there were additional food items on the check that we hadn't ordered. It took a few minutes to get her attention and get the correct check.
Then to top it all off, they displayed the different tip amounts (as many places now do) but the tip was figured on the total check amount after taxes, not just the amount of the cost of the food. I'm all for leaving an appropriate tip, but I'm not tipping on the 10% tax to the government.
Needless to say, it will probably be a few more years before I give them a try again.

Good food and service. One of our favorite spots to have a meal. We had the bowl of tomato-dill soup with a rueban sandwich.

Overall a good place to stop and eat at. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. We ordered the Parmesan artichoke dip with chips, chicken schnitzel, and adult grilled cheese. Great food, great service, and the atmosphere was chill!

Come here 2 or 3 times a week and the food is outstanding. We kinda brought the egg to the jalapeño ranch burger to the menu and have only ever had one dish out of the many we've tried to not be up to par.

It was a night before a home game. It was busy. It was still a great experience. They got us a table outside at last minute.

It always good and the service is very nice!
My husband and I tried this place for our anniversary date because we were looking for a restaurant with gluten free options for me. I have an autoimmune condition that requires me to be gluten free in order to reduce inflammation. I researched the reviews and menu and thought this would work. Unfortunately, after ordering our appetizer (chips and dip) that is labeled as gluten free, I read the tiny warning at the bottom of the menu stating that there isn’t a gluten free fryer which poses a risk for cross contamination. I understand that it may not be feasible for every restaurant to offer these accommodations but please don’t advertise that on your menu unless an item is truly gluten free. That can really affect some people’s health journey.
Also, the gluten free bun that was available was not good. Very dry and it fell apart. This isn’t surprising as it’s rare to find a good gluten free bun. This didn’t affect my rating but felt I should give a heads up. (Cisco has a good gf bun if you guys decide to change it haha)
I don’t usually leave reviews like this but it’s hard to find places that accommodate gluten sensitivity and it can be really discouraging when you think you found one only to realize it’s not after you get there. This is to give a heads up to anyone else with the same needs.
The meat on my Ruben was great and my husband loved his French dip sandwich! The artichoke dip was overcooked and didn’t have much flavor.
I have tried this place a few times in hoping I would get a different experience with the food. I do want to express this is a nice clean and great atmosphere with great service never had any complaints. However in one mans opinion the food is just ok here nothing to write home about. Price seems a bit high for that. otherwise pleasant experience.
