VERY understaffed. There was a home Husker volleyball game and that is one of their busiest days. A waitress had her first day that day and hadn't been trained on anything. Poor planning by the management to have a new employee on the busiest day. The new employee handled the situation like a champ and deserves a raise if she stays. We had a reservation and when we checked in 5 minutes before they told us they didn't have a table and we could try for open seating at the bar. We won't be back this season. If you can't staff, then don't take customers.
Super overpriced for the poor quality of the food. 5 of us had 5 different entrees and all of it was subpar. Food was bland, flavorless, and the service was slow and poor. Will not be going back.
My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary! We were greeted with a great waitress who was so kind and efficient. My husband got the special of the night and I had the 6oz filet mignon. The Mac and cheese was delicious and a shareable size side.
We came out on homecoming weekend with friends who are visiting campus. We had an excellent server, the food was creative and tasty. The walleye was cooked perfectly, not fried, and it was super interesting. My friend had the ratatouille and said the only problem was that she didn't have another serving. The dessert we chose was an apple salted caramel cake. Again, creative and delicious. This is a great asset to Lincoln and I think if you are a foodie, you would like this place.
The service was attentive but not over the top, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and the pricing for the sides as well as the options for wine were good. The attention to detail on the place settings, glassware, etc. was very nice. So many people focus on going out to dinner in the Haymarket but this restaurant, housed within The Scarlet hotel, is well worth the added 5 minute drive. I strongly suggest this as an alternative if you are looking for a nice meal (with a fantastic rooftop bar to visit after too).
Great food!! Menu is much improved with more selections! Have recommended Well & Good to several couples now
We had a reservation and were seated immediately, which was great. The hostess told us they were very busy and to please be patient. I had read many reviews that is common at Well and Good, so we expected to be patient. About half of the tables at the restaurant had guests at them, it didn't look overly full/busy. We ordered our meals, when they arrived we received the incorrect steak and we never received the sides we had ordered. No one came to the table anytime soon to check on our order or drinks, so we ate the steak that was not what we ordered. We were given one glass of water and ordered drinks and were never waited on with additional water or drinks. We were thirsty with empty glasses for the entire meal. When the waiter checked on us at the end of the dinner I noted we didn't receive our side dishes and he stated "we had been given the entire wrong order" and had no resolution. Didn't offer us the sides and walked off. We waited about 15 more minutes to receive our bill, which never came. We ended up leaving cash(likely way too much $ with an overly generous tip considering the really poor service) because we were tired of waiting and were thirsty and wanted to get to our car to get a drink of water. I understand busy, I don't understand never returning to a table with water refills, or to check if filets are cooked to a guests liking, or with a bill.
They were super busy on Nebraska v Michigan Saturday night. Everything was good but the service.
Delicious food and great service and atmosphere! We have eaten there several times and it is always special.
The chicken schnitzel had been the only consistent thing holding W&G up. For the price of dinner, youll always be more satisfied with Piedmont, Venue, Dish. Dinner last night was dismal - overcooked brussels, rare/raw ribeye with no maillard ($48 sides extra). Working nextdoor id been so hopeful for a decent place, such a shame.

Sever did a great job. The scallops were very small but tasted good. One of the streaks was underdone, however overall it was very good
Amazing dinner, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care off during our meal and provided us with dessert on the house since it was a special occasion.
I’ve had several good meals here. We went here for breakfast and we were the only table for awhile. All of our poached eggs came out cooked and over easy eggs also very cooked. It seemed like they were under a lamp for a while since it was a bit cold. Otherwise good.
The atmosphere, service, quality of food were all absolutely amazing. We celebrated a birthday and they acknowledged it and celebrated us gratefully. We will be back again for dinner and will try brunch as well.
Our waitress was great. The food was not- well mine anyway. Everyone else I was with said there's was good, but mine was cold.
