Nowhere Special Steakhouse & Saloon

Normally I am not one to post a review of any kind however after tonight's experience at Nowhere Special Steakhouse & Saloon I am beyond appalled!
My family of 10, all ranging from 69yo down to 22mos old arrived at 705p tonight. After arriving it took about 15mins to order drinks and at least another 10-15mins to receive our drinks. At that time we ordered our food which included a baked potato, kids grilled cheese, 3 burgers, 2 appetizers as their meals and a chicken fried chicken. After ordering we waited 1hr 45mins before even asking about our food as we were more then trying to give them the benefit of the doubt even though for 4 servers they were not busy and had several large tables completely open. At that time my sister told them that we still have not received any of our food, not even or 2 side salads in this entire time. The young girl with brown hair, black shirt and wearing ONLY socks, NO shoes pretended like she didn't have any idea what time it even was then saying oh my goodness. Our own waitress making the excuse of your ticket got shoved behind others however then she had to re-ask what the appetizers were that my siblings ordered... because they were never put into the kitchen. Our server was told directly how unhappy we were and that we will absolutely not be paying for this as it is completely unacceptable. At that time our server tells us she will take care of it all leaving us with the understanding that we were not being charged at all.
Needless to say that after we all got home my mom had a Butler County deputy show up at the door saying that they were called about Theft of Services. Not upset at all with BCSO as it is there job and the law to enforce.
My issue is the restaurant & service (lack their of & quality). We can truly say that the name Nowhere Special officially matches exactly what they are.
Maybe it won't matter to them but I can truly say they have lost very good patrons as none of us will ever go back again!

Waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our food and was told it accidentally got placed behind tickets that ordered after us.

Food is excellent. The restaurant was very busy at 7:00 pm on a Friday night.
They need more servers.They know that.

Decided to stop here despite reading some not so decent reviews. Came in a little apprehensive but decided to sit at the bar. There was only one waitress working but she didn't miss a beat! Greeted us and said she'd be there as soon as she could. Maybe 5 minutes later we got our drinks and were looking at menus! My husband got the prime rib and I had my heart set on a burger but decided to get the prime rib sandwich. SOO glad I did!! Both our meals were fantastic and the drinks were perfect! Waitress still didn't miss a beat and was checking to make sure we didn't need anything! Will GLADLY make the trip back out to try a burger next (even if I'm still drooling about the prime rib sandwich)!

We were out on the drive to blow off some of the stink! I asked my wife (Kitty) where would you like to go for dinner?
She replied nowhere special ! Turns out there is a restaurant

called nowhere special steakhouse and saloon in Lynnwood Nebraska about 25 mi Northwest as the crow flies! So off we went!

To say I had a bad experience would be an extreme understatement, I’ve never been treated so poorly, we ordered 3 big boy ribeye’s, we drove a long ways to get there because we heard it was the best around, 2 med well and 1 med rare, the order gets brought to us and our plates are messed up so she grabs a fork and starts moving the steaks to other plates, not wearing gloves! (Who does that)?!?!? My sons was nowhere near med rare and mine was so overcooked and dry, So I cut it in the middle and even showed the lady it was way overcooked, she said well we dont take anything off the bill, i said ok and she said fine Ill take it, snatched my plate and walked off, which is considered theft since we paid for it! (I could have atleast fed it to my dog since we paid for it), she was so awful and rude and wouldn’t even let me speak, I never even asked for anything off the bill, all I wanted was my steak! Mind you this Im in there with my 73 year old Papa (Air Force Veteran) and my austic Son! I ALSO SEE ON HERE WE ARENT THE ONLY ONES WHO WERE TREATED POORLY AT THIS PLACE! JUST AN FYI TO THE WAITRESS WHO TREATED ME LIKE I NEVER HAD A STEAK BEFORE, I BUY ACTUAL BIG RIBEYES FROM THE HUTTERITES EVERY WEEK WHERE I LIVE, EVEN WHEN OVERCOOKED THEY DONT COME OUT AS DRY AS IT WAS THERE, PRETTY SURE OUR STEAKS WERE MICROWAVED! I WILL MAKE SURE AND TELL EVERYONE I KNOW WHO VISITS NEBRASKA, TO DEFINITELY NOT GO THERE! CONSIDERING I WORK WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO DELIVER TO FARMS IN NEBRASKA! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Went there and had supper tonight. Had a piece of steel come out of my steak and nothing was done about. It will not be back anytime soon.

Great food! Clean and well ran establishment! Staff was very friendly!
Small town good energy!

It was busy in a good way the last time we went very accommodating and great food. Strongly recommend. If it’s packed you might wait a while.

We have frequented this place a few times over the summer/fall & other than being the only place in town, it doesn't offer much. Service normally consists of a lone waitress, long waiting times, and forgotten and/or cold food. Despite all that you won't walk out the door for less than $20/person. If I'm getting a $5/burger & fries I expect a lot less than a $12/burger & fries...do better. Finally, stand behind your business. Owners need to step in because management sure doesn't even try to make anything right. Multiple complaints were made, compromises were suggested, & the only response was "You know we don't do that". Looks like we will be trying other places....maybe District 10 should have a simple menu of burgers & fries for $5 and make a killing.

Waited 1/2 hr for drinks and menu, meal took just as long or longer. Forgot our salads and got them with our food when reminded, plus one of the meals was wrong. When problems were addressed, we heard nothing but excuses.

Slow service, cold food, expensive, and didn’t get everything we ordered.

One of the most horrible experiences I’ve ever encountered at a food establishment sat there for an hour and a half with friends waiting for our food when people that came in over a half hour after Us was served their food before us the horrible waitress had a horrible attitude Said that they ordered hamburgers. That’s why they got their food first which was a total lie. They’re eating steaks my friends all seen it. She had a terrible terrible attitude
after getting the food mine was beyond terrible. The steak was the only thing edible. The rest was horrible. My buddies sandwich was bad and his quote was I would never order this ever again
very disappointed that this place turned into this all the years of eating there off and on since it was big Fellers I will not be returning to Not after the attitude I got from the waitress and the experience with the food for almost $50 All I could eat was the steak
Definitely do not go on a Sunday possibly Fridays And Saturdays are better, but I’m l Not going to return after that kind of service and food

The ribeye was huge and cooked perfectly. The sides were good and the service was great. We will be back for sure.
