I was in McCook for work (I live in Omaha) and dear lord I am glad I found this place. Hands down the best brisket, beans AND corn bread I have ever had. I moved to Nebraska from North Florida and have had BBQ in Georgia, Tennessee, NC, SC, Missouri (I love my BBQ) but no other came remotely close to Braxton’s. May have to see if I can work out a catering event for my wedding rehearsal dinner

Stopped in here when we were passing through McCook, NE. At first glance I didn't think much of the place (and I'm a BBQ LOVER). My wife suggested we try it and I waffled. We went back to the car, then decided to try it, and soooo glad we did. Every customer we talked to raved about the food. When we ordered, the owner (Steve) took our order and we had a great conversation. Got some ribs, brisket, beans, mac-n-cheese, and a slice of blueberry pie, to go. We ate back at our RV, and every mouthful was a gastronomic delight. I will say it was some of, if not THE best BBQ I have ever had. And because Steve smokes everything, the beans and Mac were just as good. If you like BBQ, you are going to LOVE Braxtons, many thanks to Steve and Braxton.

Best place to eat in McCook! Great bbq and sides! In a town with not a lot of options this place really stands out.
Brisket, sausage pork family deal!Make sure you get an extra side of brisket and pulled port to go.
The brisket was quite good! Definitely recommend a visit what with the kind service, too.
