Was disappointed in the food. I had the burnt ends, and the beans. The burnt ends were okay, but I am from Kansas City, and have had them here, and they don't compare favorably. The "beans" were a major fail. They had a few chunks of brisket, some diced celery, but not a single bean to be found! I am not joking, there were no beans!
Some of this could have been that we came an hour before closing, and they were more focused on doing their closing routine, but it was not my favorite experience.

The food wasn’t bad. I tried to order Mac and cheese for my kids as that was all they would eat and the lady told me no even though it is available as an option because they were running out. She then sold it to every single person after us the entire time we were there. It was so odd.

Busy and loud. Chicken sandwich was so dry and tough. I'm sure other items are okay.

The brisket sandwich, flatbread brisket pizza, and bbq brisket potato were amazing! Not to mention, the pickled green beans are awesome. Highly recommend this place.

Decided to eat here before doing the tree adventure instead of finding fast food. So glad we did. Reasonably priced, quick, and so much better than fast food.

The worst BBQ I've ever had in my life. Pulled pork was beyond burnt and dried out almost to the point of being jerky potato salad had very little flavor and the toast was just a buttered piece of bread. The sauce tasted like pizza sauce sugar and ketchup all mixed together and the staff was even arguing about don't burn the alcohol again and such never going back

The food was delicious and the setting was lovely. We thought we had just found a BBQ restaurant but we're pleasantly surprised by the history of the location. We were passing through but would like to go again when we can explore and enjoy the grounds

The help was extremely rude. "What do you want!" Instead of, May I take your order? She began by yelling at us that they were out of brisket. The music was not conducive to a relaxing atmosphere. Should have known it was not a popular place as we were the only ones there at six pm on a Friday. Wouldn't recommend it.

We ate here on one of the days (today) when we stayed at Lied Lodge. Fabulous food and service. We had the brisket stuffed baked potato and the pulled pork stuffed baked potato! Great comfort food! We also enjoyed a Nebraska beer and a hard cider made from the apples on Arbor Farm. We love supporting local when we vacation. This is a definite must!

The pit master was very helpful in deciding which meal to order. His brisket was off the hook and I live in KCMO. The sauces add a great variety, the Carolina had a nice mustard taste. The OG was great and the spicy was my favorite. To make a long story short, if you're in the area do yourself a favor and stop here.

I ordered ordered burnt ends entree with burnt end beans. For the 2nd entree it was a brisket entree with cornbread and buttered bread that is included in all meals. It came with this interesting tasting jam that must have come with the cornbread. The burnt ends were very tender, had nice fat, not dry at all, meaty and smokey. You really can't ask for more from good burnt ends! The burnt ends baked beans were really good as well! Pickled green beans was an interesting touch as well. The brisket entree was just as tender, meaty and smokey as the burnt ends. I've had Q39 and Joe's Kansas City BBQ so I think I'd know good BBQ and this was really good! Two meals was only around $35 which is a really good value for what we received. I asked the cashier about the negative reviews on here and she told me that they had hired a new pitmaster and I can really tell they are the right person for the job! So if you have received dry brisket in the past it shouldn't be happening anymore and hopefully it's more consistent like my experience was. A few things that were a bit off was that bottled water was $3 so the same price as bottled soda with no tap water and they were out of certain soda but I still give it a five star experience overall. We will for sure be back again!

Nice enough of a place. BBQ sauces are very vinegary. Brisket without sauce was not that good. Burnt ends were not available. Sides were nothing great. Texas toast is just a thick slice of white bread not toasted. Corn bread was alright. Potato soup was not good. Then paying $3 for a bottle of water instead of a free glass of water lowered my thought on the meal. They need a choice of a sweeter BBQ sauce. Overall I love BBQ but this town has many better places to eat.

The pulled pork sandwich was utterly delicious! So tender and so flavorful! Also enjoyed the bbq sauce station.

Too much vinegar in BBQ sauce and brisket too fatty.
