Stopped here for lunch on our way home from a wedding and so glad we did. What a find! Cozy restaurant / boutique. Food gives meaning to the word “homemade” and is served on Polish Pottery. The desserts ? ………outstanding. Will definitely return.

Very cute dining area, yummy food. Couldn't fit a dessert in, but the dessert choices looked really great. Might plan to just go for dessert.

We had the best lunch here today! We were a group from California, Colorado and Kentucky in town for a wedding at Arbor Day Farm. This lunch was the freshest, most delicious food we've had during our stay in Nebraska City. It was as good or better than mom's chicken noodle soup or our own homemade sandwiches and salads. Don't get me started about how yummy the desserts are. The staff was very attentive and gracious to our rather needy table and the owner was very hospitable. If you're coming to Nebraska city, you must eat here!

This was our third Valentine's Day event in a row. Four of us attended. We all had steak and everyone at the table commented on how good it was! Drinks were good, food was good, dessert (cheesecake with your choice of toppings) was good!

Cute place! Absolutely love the pottery they use to serve all the food. The chicken salad croissant went pretty heavy on the mayo; i'd recommend one order something else. The soup of the day, however, was fantastic and flavorful! Prices were a bit high for nebraska city, but overall i enjoyed my dining experience at the Keeping Room and might try one of their pie slices another time.

Beautiful place with attentive service. I had the French dip, wife had the Olympic salad- both were delicious.

What an odd experience. The shop is lovely and the restaurant's servingware is truly joyful and tasteful. The place was packed, so we hoped we had found some good food. Instead, we got service with a sneer. We have a suspicion that we were treated poorly because we look different from everybody else there.

If that had been the case and their food was good, I wouldn't have left a review. It wasn't. The enchiladas were the better item. They and the rice were dry. The entire plate was flavorless, but edible and filling. It wasn't worth the cost.

The French Dip was the most poorly executed example of that sandwich we had ever seen. The beef was simply packaged deli beef and was in no way prepared with any of the seasonings a French Dip should have. The au jus was similarly an unprepared beef broth, which lacked even salt. We're pretty sure the cheese was American-style single slice Swiss because it fully melted. The bread was excellent, but wasted on such a poorly prepared sandwich.

At no point did anybody ask how our meal was.

They have no vegetarian options for those who might care.

If you're in town for an art walk or something, skip this place.

Cute place with fantastic food. Portions are generous and the food was very tasty. My boyfriend had the French dip and said it was the best one he had ever had.

It is the best bread pudding I have ever had in my whole life and I think I’m a bread pudding connoisseur. And they had Thai lavash! Life just doesn’t get much better if you’re in Nebraska city you have to stop there even if it’s the only place you go.

Very disappointed in the food and presentation. I ordered a bowl of soup and husband ordered the brisket. All their entrees are in the$17-18 range. For $17 I expect more than a partially full, lukewarm bowl of soup served with 4 strawberry halves and 3 grapes and a couple of packages of saltine crackers on a paper plate. My husband was also a bit surprised that his food was served on a paper plate. Our server took the soup back to be warmed but it came back just slightly warmer. This is such a cute place, great ambiance but the food lacks, especially at the price!
