Quickly becoming one of my wife and i’s favorite lunch stops in the area. Great, low key, laid back atmosphere with extremely attentive service. Specials are always on the mark. Fried chicken sandwiches were delicious and their soup is always on point. Smaller than average serving size but always leave satisfied. Bread pudding is to die for.

Very cute place; charming and welcoming decor. I had a salad that came within minutes of ordering. Very crispy and fresh with apples, nuts, and chicken. Excellent homemade vinaigrette.The only thing that needs work is the sign stating to wait until seated. You will wait a long time, even if nearly empty. Easiest to seat yourself as others have said.

No visit to Nebraska City would be complete without a meal stop at The Keeping Room in the historic area of town. The restaurant is busy, the food is amazing, and service is outstanding. I recommend their chicken salad croissant and my husband loves their street tacos. Right next door is a lovely gift shop that offers home decor items, jewelry, and other unique items. I rarely stop for lunch without wandering through the adjacent shop.
The apple margarita is delicious. This item should be a regular on the menu.

Yelp reviews led us to downtown Nebraska City and the Keeping Room. It's situated in a charming older building that adds character to the dining experience. The place is well-maintained, offers good service, and serves delicious breakfast and lunch options at reasonable prices. During our visit, we had their apple sangria. We highly recommend it!
