8hr trip. Wanted to make my life smile. See this coffee shop and arrival is 4:40. I’ve been to plenty of coffee shops that say no the stuff is cleaned up….. not here, friendly happy and here is your coffee. I will make sure I drive NE-14 when I go south.

My wife and I were recently traveling through Neligh and came across this wonderful coffee shop! The gals working were so friendly. My wife had a scone with her drink and I had a smoothie that was out if this world!
We even purchased some fresh coffee beans from their wide selection. River Mill is truly a gem of a place! Rest assured we will be back!

Weekist Expresso I have ever drank, even the coffee was week, and that's what my Nebraskan born and bread friend said of his cup. And we know Nebraskans like see thru coffee.

I’ve been here a handful of times, the coffee shop is super cute and the ladies are always super nice. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find a coffee I like even after getting a coffee made with the same syrups as a different shop I like. It always just tastes like milk and espresso. I understand it’s a small town shop as well so you won’t always get your coffee fast, but it’s disappointing waiting 20 minutes for a $10 coffee that I don’t even really like. I really wish I could find something I enjoyed.

This is by far my favorite coffee shop- the classic vanilla latte with their house-made syrup is a go to for me. But this summer I've really gotten into the cold brew!! Super high quality coffee. Heather and Rachael both just know so much about coffee and how to make it QUALITY.

You can't go wrong with the food either- the scones are so delicious, the breakfast burritos are a really good high protein option, the yogurt parfaits are a great lighter option.

Super clean and cute coffee shop. Really awesome place to enjoy one of the countless options they have to drink and maybe indulge yourself in one of their pastries. The staff was of course super friendly and take great care on prepping our order. What a great thing to have locally to enjoy......if you're traveling and looking for a place to recharge yourself you'd be wise to stop here.

During our travels with the Nebraska Passport program, my wife and I found ourselves at this coffee shop, drawn in by its inclusion on the list. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—a classic small-town respite for wanderers and locals alike.

When placing an order, we were notified that oat milk was the only non-dairy option available. For those with dietary restrictions, it’s good to know in advance; a few more alternative milks would have been welcome.

Curious to sample the offerings, my wife ordered a blended drink. It was decent, neither outstanding nor disappointing, a serviceable pick-me-up for a road trip afternoon. I, on the other hand, chose a matcha drink, which turned out to be the highlight of our visit. Smooth, vibrant, and just the right balance of sweet and grassy, it’s a drink we’d happily order again.

The coffee shop made for a pleasant stop on our journey. If you’re traveling through Nebraska with your passport in hand, it’s worth a visit.

Perfect little local coffee spot for a quick stop and stretch when driving to RAGBRAI. Good tea selection, home baked cookies and cinnamon rolls were amazing. Nice little porch with chairs or a swing made a great pitstop - they also have a drive thru if you’re in a hurry!

Such a cute little shop! I stopped in the morning and grabbed a coffee and then again in the afternoon for a sand which at lunch. Try “The Mill” sandwhich, it’s amazing!

Drove up from Norfolk because it’s a Nebraska Passport stop this year. Ordered the “SUMMER IN DUBAI LATTE” [Strawberry & Pistachio w/Chocolate Drizzle] and the “RIVER MILL LATTE” [Brown Sugar, Vanilla w/ Brown Sugar] - both were amazing! It’s a small detail, but the froth was incredible on both. Rarely do you get that, especially with a latte. Also ordered “THE MILL” Sandwich - fresh sliced chicken, pesto, mozzarella, spinach, tomato, onion, and River Mill Mayo spread on a Ciabatta bun. Served with a pickle. It was one of the freshest most incredible sandwiches I’ve ever had! This was definitely worth the drive. 10/10 highly recommend!
