Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Whenever I am around Newman Grove, I swing by to grab pie. Such a gem to the area. Places like this are hard to find in rural America anymore. It goes deeper than just the food. The people who work here are so great too. They seem so happy to do what they do.
City Cafe is a good find for the middle of nowhere. They have a pretty good buffalo Bleu chicken burger but their fries are not all that great. There is a large picture window that's nice to sit at and watch the world pass by -- very slowly, after all you're in the country and time slows down. Their waitresses are very nice and service was better than most.
Absolutely wonderful food with great service and very reasonable prices. I wish this place was closer to where I lived! I had the special of the day which was the Poutine Burger with fries and it was wonderful. Finished off with a warm slice of Tollhouse Pie with a scoop of ice cream on top. An absolutely wonderful meal.If you are anywhere near Newman Grove, you MUST give this place a try!!
