I didn't know this was a chain. Food is matter-of-fact good but not amazing. The service is calibrated for high table turnover, so walk in ready to order, eat and leave; otherwise, you'll feel rushed, pressured to order promptly, and hurried through the dining sequence. Margaritas are good.
My margarita was very good. My husband enjoyed his burrito. My dish had 4 enchiladas. The bean one was great. How ever the chicken was very dry, and the ground beef lacked flavor. The cheese enchilada was ok. We waited quite a while for our check and finally had to ask for it.
I frequently go to El Mez, love the food, drinks and ambient is always super chill. Price is reasonable expect bill to be about $40-$50 for 2 meals and 2 drinks including tip. Staff is friendly and attentive. Place is spacious with additional area to dine. They can accommodate to a party of 6 or 10. Highly recommend!
