Whatever you do, avoid working for Eugene Ybarra. He is located at the Dallas plant and is by far, the worst manager/supervisor. He treats his fellow employees with zero respect. Demands an unattainable amount of work and will tell you to your face that he made up his mind about you a long time ago. A huge number of employees from various Hiland plants seem to complain about Eugene often. Most say that no one in the company truly respects him because he is awful to work with. However, no one wants to stand up to him. Save yourself the time and energy and just avoid this place altogether.

Tried the Turtle Sundae brand of Hiland Premium Ice Cream. Being an ice cream fanatic from Texas, I had never heard of or come across Hiland ice cream. After tasting it, I now know I've been deprived of some of the best ice cream ever to be made. I put it up there with my favorite Cherry Garcia. The ice cream was the perfect consistency and creamy, not too salty and not too sweet. But the ingredients were the highlight. The caramel filled Turtles had a perfect thin crisp light chocolate shell and just the right amount of filling combined with the crunchy and savory pralines. I just came here to pick up a loaded trailer but ended finding a new favorite ice cream. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out in stores for this brand.
