Another road trip to visit dad in NE. We travel through North Platte about 8 times a year, sometimes more. I always look forward to stopping at Ruby Tuesdays for the Garden Bar and great food and super service.Today was the greatest disappointment we've ever experienced at this location. The server stopped by the table to see if we were ready to order once while my husband was not at the table and 3 more times while we were still holding the menus, at least in my opinion, it was quite obvious that we were not ready. * This was all within about 6 minutes. It wasn't like we were holding her table hostage and impeding her turnover times. The salad bar was a mess, and I was not even 3 bites into my salad when our "new smashburger" style burgers arrived. Sorry about not having a photo, I didn't have the thought to take a pic of something so pathetic. My husband did. But he deleted it right after completing his review. The burger was dry, his broccoli was browning, and my tater tots were not hot. Our server came to the table whilst we were in the middle of a sentence and weren't half done with our hunger relief break from the road (don't mean to be dramatic, but this food wasn't worth calling a meal) to ask if we wanted dessert. Avoid the smashburger, at least till it isn't 'new' anymore. It's a waste of money, dry, and not worth $5, let alone the $10.99 menu price.

The steak and potato griller was amazing. The potato oles are also really good. The place was clean and the staff was really friendly.

Drive-thru, taco bowl with beef. No sauce, salsa, or sour cream. Potato ole no nacho cheese. The order was correct, the window staff asked if I would like ketchup for the potato ole. I did. Very fast service, food was good, staff was polite and professional and courteous. Good food. Correctly made and quick at a reasonable price.

We stopped here on a Sunday night at 8pm- 12 adults and 16 kids after spending all day on the river. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly! The food was great, affordable and served to all of us very quickly. We look forward to coming back!

Not the best Taco John's !! I had to wait 25 minutes in the "dine in" area for my order & when I finally received my order the food was cold. Then to top it off a family member who ONLY ate 3 soft ? woke up @ 3am with diarrhea ! It was easy to figure out what kept him on the ? the rest of the night bcuz Taco John's was the 1st & last thing he ate that whole day. We had stopped for fuel bcuz we were heading back to Illinois after a week of vacationing in Idaho (Yellowstone) & Taco John's was inside the gas station.

20 minutes and still no food. Asked for a refund and the person behind counter couldn't figure out how to do it.
