J's Smokehouse BBQ - Papillion

We ordered the 3-5 Texas feast so we could try everything. Well everything was so peppery you couldn’t really taste the meat. The pepper just sat on the back of my tongue. We questioned if the brisket was smoked because it had more of a roast consistency. There was no smoke ring, no variation in color to reflect it being smoked - it looked more like a mushy pot roast. The pulled pork lacked flavor and was bland. The ribs were ok, but so peppery it made them hard to eat. The sausage was decent and you could taste the smoke. The sides were all good but overall super disappointed.

This place was PHENOMENAL! Had 3 Vampiro tacos and they were honestly to die for 👌 packed with tons of flavor! I’m super glad we decided to come here for dinner tonight and going to recommend anyone who will listen!

Out of brisket at 6 pm and was first time to be here. Won’t be back.

love everything I have ever tried at J's. Tonight took for daughter/son in law and grandson. Have taken before so I try to take something they haven't had before. Tonight they tried the sausage, always get ribs and brisket. I got Jefe's tacos (my first time trying) we loved them, might be my new favorite thing. You cannot go wrong with any item on menu. Thank you J's

My son is 21. He's 6'7 and up until recently was a super picky eater. He's started to expand beyond nugs and pizza and I suggested bbq. We got the Texan platter and he ate 3/4 of it 🤣 When I asked if he liked it, he said, "Bruh." I don't know if you know this, but that's equivalent to a Michelin star in 21 yo guy speak. So, we have always loved your food, and now you have a new fan as well. Thanks for making awesome food!!! ❤️

Every once in a while, a bite of food results in a "Wow" moment. I had one today with the Cajun Butter ribs. It's clear that Jay and his team love what they do and really know how to operate those smokers. someday I'll pull BBQ that good out of the smoker on my porch.

Been looking forward to trying out J’s for awhile came up for the CWS stopped on by and wow the ribs are one of the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to get a chance to come back and try the rest of the menu.

I have had BBQ all over the country and J’s ribs here in Omaha Nebraska were the best I have ever had. The vinegar based sauce was also tremendous. I would recommend this place for any BBQ lover.

Delicious BBQ! We tried the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, and mac&cheese. The meat was tender as well as delectably flavorful. The baked beans side was my favorite side!Note: It is also located in the American Legion.

This place is amazing! You can’t put into words how great the food is. You just have to try it. All the employees are very nice and friendly. Go check it out!

Came for dinner and was sat right away. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Ordered the sampler platter. The ribs were tender but tasteless. The brisket was dry and tough. All of the meats were bland and tasteless. Apparently just vessels for the sauce, which isn’t very good and shockingly thin and runny. Came here based on the rave reviews but I won’t be back any time soon.
