La Mesa Mexican Restaurant

I know they said “its just to clean up” but i highlyyyyyyyy disbelieve that. Ill leave the details for you to figure out on your own though! Saw them cleaning other tables during down time and they were combining the salsa from individual bowls into the joint “pitcher”/jar 🤢d

We always have a good experience at this place. We have always used the store in Bellevue because it's closer, but I'm pretty sure I like the feel of the store on 84th street better. Newer store doesn't matter but it feels much cleaner for sure. The service was amazing. Honestly, the food is basically the same at both stores so go for the feel. The patio is shaded almost all day and it's good for watching the world. Check it out if it's been a while and if you frequent the store, you know what I mean. It's reliable and inexpensive. Cheers

Have become a big fan of tomatilla sauce, so I hit every Mexican joint I can find to sample their sauce. Got my usual steak tacos. The tacos were outstanding, and the Chipotle based sauce was excellent. More food than we should have eaten! Recommended!

Much too busy and loud. Order took way too long for chips and queso. It was for pick up at a specific time. The order should have been ready. It has nothing to do with it being busy, it has everything to do with bad time management in the kitchen. Obviously, it has gone downhill with the response given as an example of how employees could choose to do better, but do not! An appropriate response would have looked better for you La Mesa.

Disappointing Experience
Service was extremely slow, even though there were only about 20 customers. Waited over 60 minutes for food. If you only speak English, communication is a struggle. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

The food and service was very good, though the waitress took my drink to be refilled after I had only drank maybe 1/3 of it. My only complaint was how loud it was, though there is nothing anyone can do to change that, due to it being a busy dinner rush.
