Highly recommend! My son’s friend has an egg and dairy allergy, so I had lots of questions. The young lady that answered the phone was very patient and most impressively, when she didn’t know the answers, she asked someone else. The actual cupcakes were AMAZING! If I didn’t tell them, the high school boys would not have known the difference.

A picture is worth a thousand words..1st photo is what we received (left) vs what we ordered. The last photos are after my personal attempt to spruce it up.
Anyone's birthday is very special. This was extra special because this was the very first bday celebration this adult had ever had. That, the fact we traveled almost 2hrs total for this "professional" cake, and we put so much time, love, and effort into every other part of this party, is why this is so upsetting. Especially being that this was a custom cake from a highly-rated and what appeared to be competent establishment. The ONLY THING I was pleased with throughout this entire experience was how moist the cake was. However, I've had cake in the past that matched this and tasted far superior.
To be fair, they stated they couldn't do the macaroons, guitar/cassette tape cake topper, or the flowers. Thus, we anticipated some variances..BUT THIS?! Especially considering they said they'd do everything they could to still make it "as close as possible". If this is really their best effort, I'd hate to see what them slacking off looks like?!
There's obvious avoidable errors and there were several areas of noticeable blemishes present at the time of pickup. All of this I could've overlooked but the blatant disregard to include not even one butterfly and then the absence of detail was the cherry on top! The lack of care is utterly apparent!! How disheartening! We had to sign something "accepting" the cake we were presented with. Let's be honest, at that point what options does a person acutally have? Let someone go without a cake on their special day???
We gave our trust and money to @smallcakesomaha..quite frankly I feel they took a giant poo on it! I would strongly encourage anyone looking for an important event to go somewhere else. @smallcakesomaha

This place is a complete joke! Please save yourself a huge hassle and order a cake from anywhere else in town. I placed a very simple order for a birthday cake and when I went to pick it up not only was the name incorrect on the cake but so were the decorations. The only employee working at the time said she was fairly new (not my problem by the way) and that she would need to call someone to figure out what to do since all of the cake decorators had already left for the day. I would've picked the cake up earlier however 2 days prior when I placed the order I was told to wait until after 3:00pm before coming to pick it up to give them enough time to finish it. What a mistake that was since that left me without a cake the day of my son's birthday and too late to get one anywhere else. After waiting around for the employee to call someone and ask what she should do I said I wanted a refund as opposed to her offer of waiting 30 + minutes for a decorator to drive back to the store and fix the messed up cake. After refunding my money do you think I was offered the cake or any other cake/dessert they had in the store as some sort of compensation for their ignorance and for my time and trouble ....nope! I left their completely empty handed. This is the worst customer service experience I've EVER had, EVER! We will never return to this establishment and will tell everyone we know what a horrible place this is!

I will always recommend SmallCakes to anyone whom asks. After 2 failures from another baker in the Omaha-Metro....for a one year olds photo shoot..Small cakes came to the rescue. Not only same-day...but with haste! Small cakes literally saved the day for the photos and I cannot express my gratitude to them enough.....not only for their excellent customer service, but also for the quality of their cake! Decoration, Taste, etc.! There are no words to describe this place! Do not hesitate to give them a chance!
