Ribs were fantastic, brisket was a little confusing. The way they were cut and presented was not what I expected, the meat was fethered which was fine but I think might have made it a little dry. Service was good and would come back for the ribs and those egg rolls, best part of my meal.

The wait staff is great especially Lexi. The food and atmosphere is also good. They also host fun events like Thursday night poker and Friday music bingo.

My family and I love this place. The BBQ is always good. I love the ribs and my wife gets the huge quesadilla. We love going on Thursday nights for free poker. Lexi and the rest of the staff make us feel right at home every time. They always have a smile on their face, with a big beer in a frosty mug waiting for me. We love The Pit!!

Really good BBQ. Had the chopped brisket sandwich and the pulled pork egg rolls, was very good, not overly smokey flavor. Most likely they are using oak to smoke which is what all brisket should be smoked with.

First off, the food was pretty good. My wife and I really enjoyed the nachos and the pork egg roll appetizer. The restaurant was very clean and tidy.
Edit: I removed a portion of my review after speaking to the owner and gaining more insight into the situation. I didn’t realize this BBQ spot has been open for 5+ years, so again I would like to shout out the cleanliness of this establishment. Smile and wave!

Lexi and her cohorts running the bar make an amazing team especially during a crazy busy rush! Everyone is getting attended to in a timely manner considering the parking lot is full of their customers. Food is coming out fast and full tables are ordering, eating, and leaving within 20 mins. You can smell the smoker going from blocks away and it slowly pulls you in for the best BBQ this side of the Missouri.

Stopped in last minute after golf and im glad i did. Everything was fantastic. I was promptly greeted upon walking in, placed my to go order, and enjoyed a tasty pitt Margarita. As for the bbq, my sliced brisket was very tender, had a perfect smoke flavor, and just a tad bit of fat which is how I like it. For sides I had potato salad, beans, and cornbread all to which were very tasty. Portions and prices were great. Will definitely be back!

I miss the old Papio Pit!!!! This is so bad now. So dry. The mac and cheese is pre-made. Beans taste like straight out the can. Nothing special about this place anymore. Menu is small in my opinion. The Pit Rolls are the only thing that sticks out about this place. Twice now in the last 2 months and we were epically failed. Think we will take our money elsewhere. Sucks because they have cool events, just not worth it for the food, prices and quality. Lots of other good BBQ places in Omaha. This one is just the closest to us 😭
