I've gone to Bushwackers many times. I have spent NYE There 3 different times. We attempted it again this year because we wanted to go somewhere fun for my birthday. Not only did they lie about the admission cost, you could barely walk through the building with wall to wall people standing because they have no space for anyone to sit unless you pay 200 for a table. They changed their cover charge from what they had posted online from 20 to 40 which is outrageous. Then add on top of that if you want to sit on a chair or have a place to put your stuff then you have paid over 100 just to be in the building. This is just pure greed from a business. We stood in the back, couldn't hear any music, even if you were lucky enough to get on the dance floor you were packed in there like sardines. Worst experience I've ever had there. Wasted over 100.00 to be there for 1 hour then leave because it was overly crowded. Bar service was slow and you couldn't hear the music unless you stood in the main area. Do better Bushwackers
Here to confirm that the barstools without backs, do in fact spin faster.
Great place!! I completed a test of approximately 2% of the barstools, on how fast different ones spin. Can confirm that the ones without backs spin faster than the ones with.
Friendly staff! Good drinks!
Fun place
The new BBQ is fantastic! Give it a try! And I loved the Mac and Cheese Bites.

Went to Bushwackers on Nov. 2nd to see one of my favorite bands. Closed my tab for the night, however I wasn’t provided a copy once I closed the tab. I found that strange, but noticed others closing tabs without getting copies, so I didn’t make a big deal out of it. Checked my bank account today and noticed two charges to my account, definitely will not do that again I’ll just pay cash if this is what they do. Check you bank accounts patrons to this club.
The event (Flicker) was awesome. However the information was terrible. When I arrived I was told that there would be no food provided. I was told that the event right app indicated this. The eventbrite app was not working. It is a terrible app. So I had to leave the venue and go get dinner, after checking the food menu for Bushwackers online. When I got in I learned that all the alcoholic drinks were the same price ($13); I just wanted a beer. Don't know how much they charged for a bottle of water.
Not a place where bartenders remember faces. Cover your expensive drinks or they’ll take them when you go dance.
Definitely NOT a country western bar. They basically play hip-hop and cater to the 18 and over crowd on Fridays. The DJ had two pages of songs that were requested (that he had us write ourselves) and he played like 3 songs from the list. And we had to ask multiple times just for him to play those songs. Very disappointing.
I really liked Bushwackers when it was adults-only on Fridays. Bushwackers is my favorite line-dance bar, but ever since they started letting minors in on Fridays, there's far less line dances and swing dances being played, and it turns into a dance club rather than a line-dance bar. If I wanted to go to a dance club, I'd just go downtown. Since minors are allowed on Thursdays, I think they should stick to that and let the country swing and line dancers have their night on Fridays.

I go here quite often because I enjoy the atmosphere and the huge dance floor. However, billing themselves as the premier country bar is not accurate. A lot of times they play some country and then what I would call hip hop, pop tunes, especially for all the line dancers. If it has a country work like rodeo in the song its fair game to be played. Two weeks ago they had a grunge band- all of their regulars were at Stocks N Bonds but we came over and heard the last 30 minutes of the grunge band-ridiculous! The other night I requested two country songs from the DJ and he didn't have them on his computer. They have no consistency in their DJ's. The place is dirty and the restrooms are a shambles and usually out of soap. Also putting the DJ booth on part of the dance floor was a huge mistake and takes room away from dancers. Unfortunately about the only place to go when they do play country.
not inclusive and hostile
I have been here twice and can honestly say best bar I have ever been to. I live a little more than 5 hours away in Illinois. Worth the trip to go to this bar. 10/10 will be back again!
Fantastic staff…. Fantastic management
Fantastic customers
I used to attend Bushwackers on a weekly basis, nearly every Thursday for a year straight until I turned 21 and then I went as much as I could. I have become severely disappointed with my experience. When I started going, I had the freedom to learn, grow, and hone my dancing skills in both swing dancing and line dancing. I made a fool of myself plenty of times, but that's how you learn! Proper dancing etiquette was maintained, which helped me to learn even faster! There was room on the dance floor, and DJ Nick (who is awesome btw) was happy to play a whole array of music.I would love learning new dances, and there were plenty of willing, experienced dancers to teach me and help. Furthermore, the security team and DJ Nick were so gracious as to help keep the rather obnoxious people off the floor in order to maintain freedom on the floor. The exact opposite is true now. It is always packed, to a point of extreme discomfort and exhaustion. There is no room on or off the floor; all they focus on is getting as many people in the door as possible. It is obvious that the culture has taken a shift from focusing on dancing to focusing on making as much money in one night as possible. The one thing I understand is not wanting to play tons of pop music. It's a country bar, play country! However, it is clear that this rhetoric is inconsistently targeted. Every time I go now, there are plenty of club (non-country) songs that pack the floor with people, but those people don't really dance, they just kind of jump in a circle. I have no particular problem with the people or their style of celebration, but there are other clubs in Omaha for clubbing, Bushwackers should not be one of them. However, whenever we request a line-dance song that isn't country, we are chastised for it; Either the request is denied, cut short, or we receive some form of verbal chastisement from the DJ. Clearly, we are simply denied for some other reason. And, finally, I think the proof of all of my statements can be seen with how nice things are maintained at Stocks and Bonds. Even before they stopped letting Minors in on weekends, their dance floor was well maintained, clean(er), and we could make whatever requests we wanted. AND, there was even time for a club set for all the folks who aren't really line dancers, but still want to have a good time. They don't get mad at us, and the DJ doesn't harass us when request anything other than country.I have been hoping that we might go back to the way things were when I started going to bush, but I have been told by many patrons whose attendance is longer than mine that this is the result of a long decline. I know I speak for many of us when I say that we are unhappy with Bushwackers, and we all hope it can be returned to it's former glory someday.Edit: Grown out of college night? I'm in college, it's literally targeted at my age range.
