Was in town visiting family with my son and we had a great time! Very accommodating for my 3 year old, and all the food was fantastic.

This place is just fantastic. My group of 5 went on a Wednesday night. We ordered the special (a burrito, chock full of meat, cheese, a spicy-sweet jam, and green onions), the reuben (the absolute must-have, recommended by red cloud locals), the fish and chips, as well as onion rings, waffle fries, and fried pickles. All the food was fantastic. The onion rings and reuben were standouts; the special was also scrumptious. This place is the cutest--a working bowling alley, and there was a bowling group intently playing while we dined! It was great to watch.
The proprietors, a lovely couple, were extremely friendly and talked about their journey to red cloud when they stopped by our table. Everything--the service, food, ambiance--was excellent. I couldn't recommend this bowling alley-cum-food joint more!

We had the pulled pork tostada special and it was FABULOUS!!! If you haven't tried this place, you need to ask yourself why. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. It has a fun atmosphere and is very clean. We will be back!!

We had four great meals during our short stay in Red Cloud! Yep, it's a bowling alley. Yep, they serve great food. Their house-made pastrami was outstanding. Ditto for the house-made corned beef in the corned beef hash! That's a breakfast that will keep you fueled for hours. Same for the burrito bowl, Alley Cat's take on chorizo and eggs. The crispy chorizo added great texture and the green sauce smothering was spectacular! Was not expecting a dish like this in a bowling alley in Nebraska. Definitely would eat here again, and again, and again.

Alley Cats Bowling opened in early 2024 and is a much-needed addition to Red Cloud's restaurant scene. Don and Tammy renovated the old bowling alley into a mod, 1960s-era joint with colorful retro furnishings and a super fun vibe. Six lanes of bowling are available for you to knock down the pins. They expanded the dining room to offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food is really quite delicious (numerous people recommended the Reuben, and I second that). It's a family business with their daughters and son-in-law all stepping up to give you a great experience.
During the Willa Cather Spring Conference (June 2024), my friends and I ate there three times, and every time the service was friendly and efficient, the food yummy, and the atmosphere a delight. They treated us like family. I look forward to returning next year!
Food was great, service was on point, and the place was hopping!

My boyfriend and I spent our Saturday night of a weekend trip to Red Cloud at Knock Em' Over Alley and we loved it! It felt a little like taking a step back in time- we loved being able to keep our own score and you couldn't ask for more friendly staff. Roger and Paula are some of the nicest people we've met. Another Red Cloud gem that you don't want to miss. Call ahead to make sure there isn't a tournament on Friday or Saturday! We'll be back.
Home of Red Brick Cafe. Good food. Say hi to Charlie. Bowling Alley is open mostly by request. Stop in to get in touch with Roger.
Great family place and good food
