The catfish filet was the best I have ever had. The steak/plank fries were so yummy. Live music and great location by the Missouri River. The salad bar is always fresh and fantastic! This is a must stop if in the area, or well worth a nice drive in the country for great lunch or dinner. The service was quick, polite and attractive.
In general the food is great. Always friendly service. Come in during duck season. Heck, last year buddy and I showed up later. The kitchen just closed but the cook made us a few appetizers. The sausage and gravy in the morning is excellent. I've gotten the rueben in other years but this go round it was lacking in the meat serving. The string onion rings were a little off. Stopped here while just driving around (we're from Atchison, KS). This is great! Sat outside with a view of the river. Great food. Great atmosphere. The fried mushrooms are actually sliced portobellos! We will definitely be back!
