*The Twisted Turtle Pug has been a destination I've heard about for a few years and I was finally able to come visit. I actually took detours and wasted time doing things I didn't want just so I could show up at 2pm (opening time mountain time zone not central time zone) and have a chance for some amazing wood fired pizza. *Smaller, old building in downtown with lots of character and really neat windmill fans on the ceiling. I ordered the small pizza (comes with 5 toppings) with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, onions and green peppers. I am so thankful they offer sauces other than tomato sauce as I medically can't have the tomatoes. I opted for the Alfredo sauce which was delicious as well! *There was a very nice resident dog who walked around the dining area and apparently chose me as it's favorite person in the restaurant 😁 *Overall reaction? Make time to take the trip here for some amazing wood fired pizza. It was absolutely fantastic and I will come back when I'm in the general vicinity.

🐢 Nice pizzeria with choices for everyone. 🍕The pizza was cooked to perfection and not verh many slices were needed to take home but the few that were, heated up nicely for leftovers! 😋The large beer was huge and cold! 🍺 We'll be making this a stop again on our way back through next time!

Excellent place for pizza and good friends , this place is so busy, you really need to order before you go. But if you like to visit and have some drinks you came to the right place. It is very popular and people travel fairly far away. You wont be sorry. And remember these are wood fired pizza.

Disappointed because I drove all the way over here while on my roadtrip hungry for a late lunch to find out that it wasn’t open on a Wednesday at 3, when the hours in Google/posted on the business reflected that it should be open. Meh, not great.

Visited twice this past week and the food was outstanding, including wood-fired oven, baked pizza, and terrific selection of draft beers (including red & pickle beer, something unique to this area, that we don’t have on the East Coast!). Service staff were fabulous! Great atmosphere and a wonderful vibe!

Best pizza anywhere. Consistently. This is a destination restaurant for people living anywhere within an hour. Reservations recommended. The pizza is not fast, but it is worth the wait. A gem of Northwest Nebraska! If you happen to be traveling thru and have the time, it is not to be missed. Decor is unique- check out the restrooms The Cajun pizza may not be on the menu, but ask for it.
