I love the server. She was kind and nice about everything. This is a small yet homely place. I have high hopes for this restaurant.

Had breakfast. It was bland tasted like it had no seasonings. Beans tasted burnt. Small portions. Server not attentive. Food quality has gone way down. ?

Had a really good dinner at El Molcajete this evening . The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was like home.

Ordered 2 chicken taco/enchilada dishes.) The service was slow, even though there was not that many people in the restaurant. (A couple who was seated at the same time as we were, received their meal 10 minutes before us.) The meals were very small. - The beans were dry around the edges, the taco shell was so dry that it fell apart as I tried to eat it, and there was hardly any chicken on it. The enchilada was dry and hardly had any beef. It was a real disappointment because Mexican food is my favorite food , and that's what I picked for my Fathers Day treat.

This place is a must if you like authentic Mexican food. We stop in every time we are in Scottsbuff. Always have good service and the decor is just right for a small Mexican restaurant. Nothing better in town. Elena, the owner, is a peach.

Went to El Molcajete at the recommendation of some friends. The food was amazing! I had beef tamales and beef tacos. I couldn't eat all of my food. Service was fast, food was delicious and authentic. I saw several posts saying it was cash only, but they must take cards now. I ended up eating here several times while in Scotts Bluff. Parking is limited and the atmosphere is nothing fancy but it's 100 percent worth it for the food!
