☹️We drive down from Omaha in the fall every year to get a caramel apple. It was the worst I've every had. The caramel melted off and when refrigerated it was so hard and stuck to the plastic cover. So I threw it out. I will go to Kimmel Orchard from now on. I feel for the woman who bought half a dozen caramel apples at Union when I was there. What a mess.
I was visiting Nebraska City and on my way back home (an hour away) I wanted to get some of their apple turnovers because they're awesome. I called at 4:45 to say hey I know you close at 5 but I promise I'll be there by 5. I got there at 5:02 and was told they close "right at 5." I couldn't believe I was turned away and told I could come back tomorrow. I will no longer be going to Union Orchard and googling a recipe for how to make my own apple turnovers. Union Orchard is a charming destination known for its warm hospitality and delicious offerings. The orchard has a wonderful area for kids and offers music throughout the summer, making it an inviting place for all.
