I go to the Ponderosa for cheap drinks, great food, and chill vibes! I like it so much I even got a part time job there lol. Make sure to hit up Jordyn on Monday nights, she’s the best of the best. She’ll never let your drink run dry and can cook up a damn good burger. Don’t believe me go check it out yourself!

Was back in town for the holidays and had to stop in to the Pondo for some Nebraska nostalgia. Always nice to hit up a good ole welcoming Midwest watering hole. Good eats, surprisingly good selection of beers and liquors, and Amira was holding it down taking care of everyone, cooking, and still giving great service.

Love the Pondo! Staff is lovely and vibe is comfortable. Easy place to meet for a drink or Taco Tuesday or Prime Rib Saturday. Don’t have to be a regular to feel welcome… but lots of farmers and cattle ranchers in the mix. Cheap and good. Tell them Jeff and Lynn sent you!

Saturday prime rib supposed to start at 5. They hadnt yet begun cooking it. When we were finally served the meal, the meat was so fatty, the baked potato was still uncooked and the roll was nothing special. $35 per plate! Nothing special. Save your money. Very disappointing.

I don’t even know that this should be called pondo anymore, they probably could’ve done with changing the name after the change of ownership because after living by pondo on and off for over 20 years I sadly don’t recognize the place anymore but seems they are too busy attempting to use facebook to turn this place into a Bucks for the skutt parents than paying any attention to the people who have been loyal to the place for the past couple decades. Sad to drive by and not even recognize a car in the parking lot from someone in elk city— bring back the real pondo and bring back the good prime rib
We came for dinner on 9/27/25 ordered our drinks got those. A different waitress took our order( blue shirt blonde hair pulled up) we waited for 40 min. Asked 3 times about our food was told it’s coming up. Come to find out she never put the order in! We will never come back.
Love it! First time here.....will be back...the blue yummy is a must!!
