Stopped by for a mid week lunch after kayaking at Willard Meyer lake. We had the Thursday special of prime rib sandwich and a smash burger. The prime rib meat was tender and flavorful with very little fat. The burger's two patties totaling 7 oz and included some special sauce, along with the usual LPOT, served on a pretzel bun. It was one of the best smashys I have had. The crinkle fries were straight forward: crispy and without the coating that so many have. Our two meals, two sodas, and one beer rang up at $27. Small town bar, local owners, both working the place. He is a veteran, and has turned one wall into a tribute to those who are or have served, in the military or in the emergency services areas. It was a great spot, both for the food and the home town goodness. We'll definitely be back.

Good food and good folks. Best place in town!
It is not what you expect in a small town bar. This is the place to be. Great food and amazing customer service.

A small town bar with great food, good drinks, and great company. I had the Smash Burger this last time I went, and per usual, it was phenomenal. The rest of my party had the special, which was a Waygu Burger. Which they were raving about. The menu itself is bar fare that is executed extremely well.
The atmosphere is that of a small town bar. Have's Place is the local watering hole in Western, so it gets busy when football games are on, especially Nebraska Football. Have's supports their local heroes: Police, Firefighters, EMS, and Military and have an honor wall with pictures of locals and family members in those fields of work. Beyond this, the decorations are music and drink based with posters, mirrors, and photos that are about as family-friendly as a bar can get.
Service is always excellent. They have a small crew, so on busy days there may be a bit of a wait, but it is worth it.
Dietary restrictions: Have's Place are willing to make additions and subtraction to your order based off of the items that are listed on their menu. Additions are subject to a price increase and are based on availability. You will be apprised of what the increase in cost is based on any additions. Subtractions are noted and followed I have yet to have an issue with any of my party members requesting something like "a burger with the works, but no Mayo"; it always gas come out correct to how we ordered.
Kid-friendliness: Big connect four game by the front door. There are lots of things on the wall to play eye spy with. Simple bar foods are easy for even picky eaters.
Wheelchair accessibility: Steps at front door. As far as I know, the only other door is in the rear and used for deliveries and staff only.
