Great for a quick coffee fix and a perfect place to sit and visit with a friend. When I was in the other day, I saw a mom working on her computer, with her baby/toddler quietly playing at her feet in one of the corner tables. Mack’s truly has the best small town coffee shop atmosphere. The owner and younger staff are all so friendly and patient while explaining new drinks or waiting for you to decide what to order. I recommend the iced chai (regular or seasonal flavored) and any of their Red Bull creations!

The staff here are an absolute standout. They’re always welcoming, incredibly attentive, and somehow manage to keep things moving quickly—even when the place is bustling. It’s rare to find a team that’s not only efficient but also consistently kind. They truly make every visit feel personal.

Mack’s Golden Grounds is hands down one of my favorite spots in York. The drinks are always amazing-highly recommend the Fire Hydrant it’s my go-to. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and can tell they put a lot of care into what they do.
It’s a bummer to see them get negative feedback for simply following state laws they have no control over. I admire how they still respond with kindness, professionalism, and integrity—even when it’s tough. You can tell their hearts are in this business 100%.
Also, the story behind their name and their love for dogs makes this place even more special. If you’re looking for great coffee, warm service, and a place that truly values people (and pups!), this is it.

I was very excited to see what the new owners would do with my favorite coffee shop, and they did not disappoint. They named it after their golden retriever, kept my favorite drink on the menu (shadow special), completely changed the vibe of the place with an updated look, and added dirty sodas to their menu. I’m very dog obsessed, and something about having a doggy centric coffee shop in town fills me with so much joy. Best place to get coffee in town. Their chai is incredible.
