Poor planning by management. Stopped by after the Alton Bay festival on 2/15. They were out of soda (no pepsi no coke). No jack daniels (what bar does not have jack daniels). Many other bottles at the bar were emply putting the bar tender in a very awkward position, she was very upset. Terrible planning.

We go every Wednesday with friends to different breweries/restaurants. Thought we would give this place a try. Atmosphere was good, staff was friendly and welcoming. Beers are WAY overpriced compared to many other places. Like a previous review mentioned , had a 20oz IPA & it was $13 bucks!! Ordered a “build your own burger” & got a 23 burger along with the $23 charge. And the burger was the worst smash burger I have ever had. Sides are also WAY WAY overpriced. On the restaurant behalf, I should have said something, but like many, didn’t notice the charges until I got home and looked at my receipt, so my bad on that. Would I go back, sadly that’s a NO.

I arrived at the bar not long before closing time, unlike the previous bar (Foster’s, who let me know it was last call 20 min before closing), the bartender was welcoming and even offered the food menu. She was attentive and extremely nice. I highly recommended the bar experience and I’m looking forward to trying the food.

I really wanted to like Pub 23, but the food was a letdown. The burgers were undercooked, completely lacking seasoning, and the toppings didn’t feel like they were meant for burgers at all. The onions came in huge chunks more suited for chili, and the lettuce was chopped so fine it made eating a bunless burger a messy challenge. Overall, it felt like there wasn’t much attention to detail in the preparation.

Back from Florida, and it was time to get back on the great NH food trail. Since Pub 23 was right in town we stopped in for dinner. The location is great, the interior inviting and really liked the atmosphere. We ordered Fish and Chips, Haddock was great, Steak Tips, cooked perfectly, and an order of Steamed Clams, delish. The portions were good, and we left quit satisfied. So I'd recommend stopping in, try it out, and tell them you read my review.
Ridiculous portions!! If there was a 10 rating that would be it. Super value-$59 for an almost 3 lb lobster, dozen steamers and 2 sides. This would be over $100 elsewhere. Go-you won’t be disappointed

Went to lunch today with friends. I ordered the lobster roll and it was one of the best love rolls I’ve had. That’s saying a lot living near the coast. The pickle chips were amazing as well.!

We went yesterday for an early dinner. It was NOT crowded. We walked in and a blond woman spoke to us about seating. The 3 of us went to sit outside and she said she'd be right out with menus. We sat for 15 minutes and another dark haired women came to ask how long we'd been waiting, said sorry they were busy and that our waitress would be right out with water too.The blond came back and said oh I didn't know you were my customers, and then walked away. Waited another 7 minutes, no one else showed. We left and won't be back. We had hoped the service would be better since the Dockside had such horrible service. Don't waste your time or money. Thers plenty of other great spots in the area.

The views are incredible. The staff was friendly but had a few hiccups but nothing serious. The food was the unfortunate part. Everything was just very bland. I really want to give a five star. But this was only one experience. The drinks were The shining light they were absolutely delicious. We will be back and give it another shot for sure!

Hey guys! I was just in on Friday. I had the Buffalo garlic parm, and they delicious! I sat on the deck with the awesome view of the lake. There were 2 girls sharing responsibility for the deck and they both were great servers even though they were new employees! Well done! Can’t wait to return!
