Plus sides: the staff are really wonderful. They are kind, helpful, and courteous. The prices are fair, and the location is fantastic. Their response to the pandemic has been very good as well, however most staff don't wear their masks properly, but they at least maintain social distancing and sanitize the registers regularly. Down sides: They put their entire stock out on the floor for clothing so when it's gone, it's gone. It can be really hard to find kid/toddler clothes during season change, because it all gets bought up so quick and they don't re-stock. The bathrooms are usually unkempt. But if you tell a staff about it they're very good about getting it cleaned quickly!

On December 9th, 2019 late evening went to Walmart in Amherst ST in order to return two simple items. Unused and new in their original packaging with their original receipt. Thought that would be a quick action but was wrong! A tall, over weighted and very unpleasant lady going by Tammy on her badge approached the counter for customer service without any greeting or nothing looked at me and said: What are these things? I said: Return. Then a long and unprofessional/unnecessary questioning more like an (interrogation) started which I have never seen at any department store in any part of the world. While two items were on the counter she handed me a receipt without any further due. So I asked: Did you do the return for this one too? She replied: Oh, this one too?! Then another lengthy interrogation began as to why I was returning that thing and I was about to look for their manager because enough was enough when a friend approached me saying hello. I just ignored her military style commands and waited to have my receipt and left. I am not sure if these people get any training as "how to deal with customers," looks the answer is NO. The sporting good department AKA ammo buying is another disaster/nightmare where you'll never find someone attending and when they do, they have no (beeping) idea as to items, brands or calibers. Managers of Walmart - training your people is the way to go...

I shop here all the time and im always satisfied. However, this is in regard to the ship to store deal. I ordered a K and N air filter for my furnace and had shipped to this store. I got emails telling me it had arrived and the last day to pick it up was 9/5 by 8pm. I got there at 4pm on the 5th (today) and they tell me it was cancelled and sent back. So it was sent back on the 4th when was supposed to still be there for me on the 5th. Idiots.

Two stars simply because it's a Walmart. Been waiting in line to return something for over 10 minutes. Which wouldn't be that annoying if it wasn't for the fact that there's about six employees standing behind me just laughing and joking around as they watch the line at customer service continue to grow. Won't be coming back to this Walmart if I ever have to return something again.

The "new" register set up is horrible. WalMart wants me to ring my own groceries/purchases? In the meantime there are 2 open registers at 5:30 in the afternoon; you know, when people stop to pick up dinner and snacks for the night. The people are great, but the excuse of "scan & go" is more efficient is BS.

Walmart,UGH! As if walmart couldn't get any worse,with all the new self checkouts,it just has!! I made the mistake of going yesterday to pick up under 20 items. I am ready to check out and cannot find my usual under 20 item register? Instead there are even more self checks. I refuse to use them because I feel strongly that people are losing jobs because of these,and also, isn't it enough that I am spending money in the store,must I also spend even more time checking out ,and bagging my own items?? If so put me on the payroll walmart! Even though there were a few employee operated check outs,the lines were very long, and no one was running to check out and bag their own items. What a nightmare. The best part is ,the grocery section of the store ,the prices are the same if not more than Shaws,and Market Basket. From now on,I will only shop Walmart out of sheer desperation due to this check out issue. I refuse to pay even more to this store by checking out,and bagging my own items.

I always expect chaos when I go to a Walmart, but this was shockingly civilized! Parking was easy. Tons of registers open Organized aisles Helpful floor employees Decent selection in the make-up bag section (I got a Made in USA one for a cheaper price than the China crap!) Their bakeware section is lacking and their cashiers are slower than molasses but overall, a cheap and painless visit.

This Walmart used to be open 24/7 but they are now just open till 11pm. So to translate, the only reason Walmart was super useful, is now out the window. You can get better value at Target, which has the same hours.

I go here for the low prices on every day use items and some grocery is lower than a few other stores. Take a shopping cart and sanitize it.all over.then your hands and then sanitize again when leaving the store. I find that putting the water and other items on the bottom of the carriage ok for me to place upon the conveyor belt when at check out, LET THE CUSTOMER DO THIS PLEASE.I notice a lot of them want you to leave it there, I tell them you can easily forget to mention this to cashier or walk out w out paying for.which i dont think the store security would like at all. I am going to pass on using the restrooms or buying meat or bakery here. good selection of coffee dairy yogurt frozen foods bread
Nastiest Walmart I've ever been in! This gives trash a new meaning. I hope that corporate reads this and hammers down on this place. Employees congregate outside the front doors smoking cigarettes, the bathrooms are horrifying!! There was p*** smeared on the toilet paper roll and blood stained napkins on the floor!! It reeked of feces and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Extremely nasty.

It's pretty sad now going to any Walmart and they don't have any old spice body spray called after hours and why is that? Next there use to be plus sizes for women and they did away with that, what good is Walmart , their starting not carry a lot of items and when you ask a worker at Walmart they look at you funny and just tell you , that's all we have . I wish there was more variety at this store. The prices and hours are great. Parking, especially on Black Friday and leading up to the holiday season needs to be improved. I went with my cousin once on Black Friday and it was so hectic that we had to park across the street and cross a busy highway just to get to the store. Then once we got in, things were not where they usually are, making it harder to find stuff. For example, toys would be in the clothing section, DVDs would be in the grocery section, etc. It just could have been better organized. However, on a normal day, it's fairly easy to find things, and their deals are pretty good. I've gotten whole seasons of TV shows for $10 there before....not bad, when you typically pay $30+ for them elsewhere.

When transferred to "customer service " today, Wednesday , I didn't get a hello, or thanks for calling. Not even a hi. It was, customer service please hold and click. After 10/15 minutes, I'm able to ask my question about wanting to purchase an adult male bike for Christmas and if the store could hold it , due to not having a big enough car to borrow till Saturday. "No, that would be too long. You can have it held for a few hours, and that is it",I was told. I never intended on not paying for the bike and ask for it to be held. But started to feel that's what she was thinking. So I asked, Even if I pay for the bike in full, you will not hold it for a few days?? And the woman said, "NO its too long, sorry". No, I'm sorry you just lost out on a $180.00 dollar sale on the bike alone, never mind anything else I may have purchased. No customer service skills.....
