I have never left a review on anything. But today I have too. I ordered through DoorDash and because of that I wasn’t expecting much as doordash by a lot of places leave you wishing you had gone in. As a southern girl and a cook myself, this food was just absolutely amazing. Everything about it made me feel back at home and I haven’t felt that way with any other bbq around here. Made my day after getting off my breakfast shift and I’m just absolutely pleased.
Had a horrible experience here this evening. The pulled chicken was so terribly dry and all the “BBQ sauces” that could have potentially saved it tasted bad and not like BBQ sauce. Salad had no dressing- ribs had 2 bites of meat- deviled eggs no flavor- mac and cheese was really low quality. The list goes on and on. Save your money or just take it elsewhere.

HAVEN'T EATEN HERE!!!! BUT... I think it's a total crime against humanity to charge for barbecue sauce. And why no bbq beans.Response: HEY CECIL! It says right on your online ordering that you do not put barbecue sauce on bulk meats, please purchase barbecue sauce separately. And thank you for the "explanation" regarding barbecue beans, but they serve those in the south as well...

Food was pretty good however I was confused about the owner passing around a tip-jar for the band while also saying that it helps contribute to the entertainment costs. Are you asking for gratuity to pass on to the performers or asking customers to supplement your overhead costs on hiring the entertainment? There is a significant difference

This place knocks it out of the park in terms of food and service. The brisket and slaw were outstanding. The atmosphere was nice. The classic rock music was perfect and they need to keep that up.

I am originally from Texas and was hankerin' for some BBQ. I had heard of this place and decided to try it. We ordered ribs with potato salad and Mac and cheese and also pulled pork with mashed sweet potato and black eyed peas. We also got cornbread and a slice of pecan pie. The ribs were good but all the pepper made it inedible for me. It was too much. The pulled pork was dry even with the BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese had no flavor and we were left looking for the cheese? The black eyed peas had a peculiar flavor (NOTHING like southern style purple Hull peas), the mashed sweet potatoes were yummy, and the potato salad tasted store bought. The cornbread was good but so dry, I nearly choked on it. And I have NEVER EVER seen anyone mess up pecan pie!! I was eating it in the dark and had to go look at it in the light in the kitchen to make sure it was even pecan pie! Tasted NOTHING like any pecan pie I've ever had and I've had A LOT of pecan pie in my life. Trust me. Nearly $60 for me and my wife and we were left feeling like we'd never return. Not at all like any southern BBQ I've ever had. I will stick to Mitchell Hill or the other one in Brentwood.

Best brisket and ribs! Better than those BBQ places in both MA and Florida! My husband said the ribs here reminded him of the ones he had at his granddad’s in Mississippi ~

This place is bomb. The brisket is a work of art and the ribs are killer. Always leave full and wanting to come back. Owner is a great guy and staff is great and friendly. Will be coming back as frequent as possible.

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had the pleasure to consume. They smoke it in-house, they have bluegrass bands, and the atmosphere is incredibly warm. You feel like you're sitting in a BBQ joint in Mississippi.
