Excellent from start to finish. Service, food and drinks all wonderful.
Annually when traveling to NH almost over the past 50 years of Red Parka's existence we have enjoyed eating at the facility. However, things are not the same. The restaurant was essentially empty on the Columbus Day weekend but still took 25 minutes to get a seat. The menu is far less, time to get our food was way too long, no bread was offered, my wife's prime beef was cold, my filet was over cooked, and the price too high. The waiter did his best but these problems are with the new owners and management. Sadly, we will not be returning to Red Parka. This is so sad to be the case for a long term restaurant.

Went with a friend, after this place was recommended to us. The steak and crab stuffed shrimp were horrendous. The steak, they wouldn't cook it medium rare as requested. It was flavorless, grey and just inedible.
The ribs were dry, little meat and mostly bark.
Thankfully they removed the steak and shrimp meal, which was nice of them.
The wait staff was attentive and nice. That's about the only thing this place had going for it. I don't recommend.

Extremely Disappointing Experience
Service was painfully slow, and our waitress was flat-out rude. One person in our group doesn’t eat carbs and was told, in a very dismissive tone, that their only choices were fries or mashed potatoes — no flexibility whatsoever. Even after offering to pay extra for a salad, they were simply told “no.” My husband ordered the Stroganoff, took two bites, and clearly didn’t care for it, yet not once did anyone bother to ask if everything was okay. For the prices they charge, the service and attitude were completely unacceptable. We won’t be returning and definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Uniquely decorated with license plates from different states, skis, etc. The outside patio area has a fence made from skis which was a great addition to the restaurant theme. They had a band playing and enjoyed the music but when eating inside made it very difficult to hear so I suggest eating out on the patio. The beverage list didn't have many choices for different types of mixed drinks, I got a Blueberry Sangria and did not care for it at all and the steak tip dinner came with 4 small tips and the fries were good but tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in awhile and you could really taste it in the chicken fingers from the Appetizers. I was not impressed with the service, the waitress was quick to walk away EVERY TIME before we could finish asking for something@

Thank you to our waitress Khrystyna for helping us celebrate our 26 year anniversary! I had the chicken and waffles, it was sooo, sooo good. Hubby loved the Pad Thai.

Quaint local restaurant and bar. Quality of both food and service vary pretty heavily depending on who is working.

I have to say that I have eaten here over the years and have always had a great experience. Came back this year and the menu was much different. Due to new ownership. Same owners of the Stonehurst…explains A LOT. Lots of bbq and “haddock bites”??…a lot less steak. How they can call this a “steak house” is beyond me. I ordered a brisket sandwich and was given a bun covered in what looked like cat food. I took a few bites and was so grossed out by what I was eating that I just couldn’t eat anymore. I ate the typical “Sysco” fries and the corn. The corn. My gosh. To be surrounded by local corn in season and serve this frozen insult to vegetables is just awful. Why can’t these “local businesses” support local farmers? Well, I guess this isn’t a local business anymore. It’s probably under Stonehurst Inc. or whatever. Stonehurst used to be my favorite local lounge. Great pizza, good drinks, comfy chairs, and a fireplace. Now it’s clearly Sysco pizza or some other corporate monster’s excuse for food. I won’t get into the drinks. The wrong “business man/woman gets ahold of a North Conway restaurant and look what happens. DONESO! Now he/she gets their greedy hands on another gem, the Red Parka, and look what they’ve done. A classic MWV restaurant reduced to cheap corporate meat saturated in BBQ, frozen corn, and cookie cutter fries. Thank goodness the drinks were good and our server was wonderful. Otherwise, I would say this place has nothing worth coming for. So sad. The mom and pops are dying out…

The prime rib is really good here! Only Friday and Saturdays though. The fried pork dumplings were very good as well. We also had the Brisket Mac n cheese .. Absolutely couldn't stop eating it! 😁 Worth the visit for the entire family !

Good food, good service, would definitely go back again. Sometimes we get so hung up on trying to find a place in North Conway and this is so close, I don't know why we don't come here more often.
