I was down visiting the area for a few days doing some hiking and people kept recommending The Sunrise Shack to me. I finally made it there the morning I was driving home and I arrived a few minutes before opening to find locals already lining up. I figured that was a good sign!
Service was very friendly and fast and they put on a pot of decaf for me when I asked if they had any. I had The Glen sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Really quite a high-end breakfast sandwich.
The place was packed and the atmosphere was great. Before 7:30am there was already a queue for a table. Definitely a great spot that I would recommend to anyone.

Such a disappointment! After a very long wait for seats we were crammed into table almost touching others. The service is decent but the food is terrible. Somehow the huevos breakfast bowl is packed with raw jalapenos and is still bland. Had to cover it all in salt, pepper and hotsauce to make edible. Others at the table ordered the biscuits and gravy. It is sickeningly sweet and completely disgusting.

We had our last breakfast at the Sunrise Shack after spending a fabulous 3 days in NH. This meal left a bad taste in our mouths--literally and figuratively. Potatoes were burnt--should not have been served. Service was very poor--not attentive to our needs. Not close to the standard of other places we ate out in the area.

The coffee...best we've had in a loooong time! All four meals were rated excellent: burger w swiss and onion rings; veggie burger w hand cut chips; the pulled pork sandwich; and, the open face omelet w smoked salmon. So good! Minimum of a 25% tip...well worth it!

Poor quality food. Omelette was particularly disappointing. It was like a rubber overcooked. Stale corn bread. Warmed up potatoes with burnt sides. Burned bacon. “Chorizo” turned out to be just a mild sausage. Pancakes were good enough.

Been coming here for years however, first time writing a review. So we (party of 3)walked in at 10:10 (Friday am). Stood inside the entrance for a few minutes without being noticed. There was someone there to our left, but that person wouldn't recognize us. No biggie, a short time later we were greeted by someone very friendly and we're sat at a table. They immediately brought coffee over to us and asked if we were ready to order. We needed a few minutes as we were waiting for the 3rd person to show. Once our other party showed they brought coffee right away and we ordered. The place was not packed but definitely a good amount of people. So far everything is perfect. So during our conversation, the person I first mentioned, started cleaning tables. Oddly, it was noticed by the entire restaurant patrons. This person didn't just push chairs in, a chair was picked up and tossed a foot making a very loud noise that startled many. OK, no biggie. However, then that person began to throw things around like a tantrum. He backhanded the ketchup bottle over to the adjoining table. This went on for a long time. As 1 party would leave this person would go to the table and once again, make lots of noise banging the mugs together, throwing the new place settings down and just making a huge spectacle. The behavior was extremely odd, almost looking like attention-seeking. Another waitress noticed and tried to make light of it. The behavior bordered disturbing. My wife told me later that she found it strange that not a single coworker said anything, zero. Our food came out and was cooked to perfection as usual. The service was fantastic as was all our meals. No complaints. However, the behavior of this person continued the entire visit. It was so loud and obvious done intentionally and very hard to ignore. Makes us wonder why the staff didn't stop this behavior. We live in a world today, especially recently, that it just didn't make sense that no one addressed it or said a thing. I will end by saying, we still love the food and will continue coming back when we're up this way. However, if this happens again, we will not be back.
