Hungry and tired after an 8 hour ride we chose the taphouse as it was to our AirBNB. We arrived to an empty restaurant on a Thursday night at 6:30 Service was fast, drinks and hot apps, arrived quickly. A few more patrons rolled in, our dinner came 15 minutes later, nice and hot, great bacon burger, mussels, and wedge salad. Good meal, parking lot was dark and poorly lit, $113 meal Plus tip for two with drinks.

Very happy with our food and highly recommend. I was not sure what to expect when reading the mixed reviews but we ending up eating here both nights of our stay. Food is fresh, we got the bacon cheeseburgers and its not some crappy frozen patty. French fries also fresh not bagged and so good (with a cool shape to them). Mac and cheese is creamy but light perfect balance. Apple dessert and the cheesecake also up there with the entrees. Wish I had room to try the pizza because pictures look great and they said it takes 25 minutes to make so thats fresh too! Honestly surprised that it's not booming with business because if we lived around here we would come regularly.

I cannot speak for all of the staff here, however, one particular server was ill-informed when it came to food allergies and then became quite insolent when the food was brought out 2 times containing aforementioned allergenic food. It would behoove management to ensure all staff are well versed in the realm of food allergies, especially very common ones. Atmosphere was nice, beyond that. I cannot give a rating on the food as I did not feel confident in consuming anything after the interaction(s).

Yikes. The staff were extremely friendly and the ambiance was wonderful! But the food… the food was NOT good, at absolute best. I hate to say it, but basic, bland, unimaginative… didn’t return the next night. Overpriced for what you get, as well. $2 yogurt cup for breakfast (the ones from the store that are $2.50 for a 6-pack). Good for convenience, but a rip-off.

Went here for my birthday dinner tonight and it was amazing. The manager Sarah is amazing and it was so nice talking to her while visiting. Food was absolutely the best we have had since being in NH just an overall phenomenal experience. I am not a local but definitely will be coming back here when I am in town. Definitely recommend this place!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Grand Summit to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and after a long day, we wandered into the Tap House right as they opened at 4 PM in search of food. While the kitchen wasn’t open until 5, we grabbed seats at the bar—and we’re so glad we did.

We were greeted by Sarah, our bartender for the evening, who made incredible drinks—her espresso martini and lemon drop were next-level. When we mentioned some frustration with our hotel booking, her husband Brian (also on staff) overheard and went above and beyond to help make things right. The two of them were a fantastic team, and their kindness really turned our weekend around.

Once the kitchen opened, the food didn’t disappoint. The onion rings with cheese sauce were chef’s kiss—we literally said they were “10 stars.” The margarita pizza was delicious and generous enough for leftovers the next day.

If you’re in the area, definitely make a stop at the Tap House. And do yourself a favor—order one of Sarah’s signature drinks. You won’t regret it

The Tap House at Grand Summit Hotel
104 Grand Summit Dr Box 248, Bartlett, NH 03812

Tucked inside the Grand Summit Hotel in Bartlett, NH, The Tape House delivers a cozy, après-ski dining experience with a rustic wood-accented atmosphere and live music that enhances the mountain lodge charm. Whether you're winding down after a day on the slopes or simply looking for a hearty meal and good drinks, this spot offers a satisfying evening.

Cocktails
The cocktail menu impressed, especially the Allagash Blueberry Smash made with maple syrup vodka and fresh blueberries—a creative, flavorful New England twist. Everyone at the table agreed: the cocktails here are a highlight.

Entrees
- Spicy Texas Brisket Pizza – Brisket, onion, jalapeño, cheddar, mozzarella ($28.75)
This was a solid choice with a crispy crust and a good kick of heat from the jalapeños. However, the pizza leaned heavily on cheese and could’ve used a bit more brisket to balance it out. A great option for sharing—easily split among four people. Rating: 7/10

- The Bear Burger – 8oz Robie Farms beef, white cheddar, bacon, pulled pork, onion ring ($23.75)
A beast of a burger in all the right ways. Rich, juicy, and layered with smoky, savory goodness—this one will leave you full and happy.
Rating: 9/10

- Potato Crusted Salmon – Served over spinach, topped with honey mustard ($28.75)
Sadly, this dish was a miss. The flour taste overpowered the crust, and the texture didn’t come together as hoped. Lacked the finesse you'd expect at that price point.

- Yankee Pot Roast – Potatoes, carrots, celery ($37.50)
The absolute standout of the evening. Hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor—you can tell this dish simmered all day. Tender meat, perfectly cooked veggies. Worth visiting just for this.
Rating: 10/10

Desserts
We tried the:
- NY Style Cheesecake
- Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake
- Red Velvet Cloud Cake
- Warm Apple Crisp Blossom à la mode

Each dessert came with ice cream and offered something for every sweet tooth. For me, the Warm Apple Crisp stole the show—comforting and nostalgic with the perfect balance of cinnamon and crunch.

Overall Ratings
- Food: 8/10
- Cocktails: 9/10
- Affordability: 6/10 (A bit on the pricier side, but portions are generous)
- Ambiance: 9/10 (Live music and ski lodge aesthetic made it cozy and fun)

Final Thought:
If you're staying at the Grand Summit or just passing through Bartlett, The Tap House is definitely worth a visit—especially for the live music, cocktails, the Bear Burger, and that unforgettable Yankee Pot Roast.

We have been coming here for years and a few years ago the tap house opened. We have been trying it out multiple times now and every time we go there it's ALWAYS extremely slow service, food is decent. We keep hoping it gets better so we keep trying to go back but it never does. Last time we came we waited over 45 minutes for a server to come and take drink orders, we ended up leaving and going else where. Tonight we just tried again and got turned away because they were busy but half the tables were empty and they were understaffed. It's such a disappointment for us as we would love to enjoy and support this benefit of the hotel but they have been failing so many times and staffing and the wait for service or food has not gotten better and it's been over 3 years and it has not improved. Tonight was the last straw for us. We would NOT Recommend Coming Here!!!

For $20, I thought my burger would include flavor and/or juiciness. I was wrong.

Awful service. Crap bar.I'm currently 49 minutes in front of the bartender to get drinks for a party of 7 before dinner. Not a thing. Bartender blows. So does this place.

Myself and my girlfriend went for dinner after checking in, we waited at the hostess’s station for at least 5 minutes before the lady came out from the back, the dining room was about 55% full, and the bar had about 7 people at it… The server came over after about 10 minutes and got our order, and she did get it a little wrong…. My girl got the burger and fries and I got a steak tip dinner for $28 bucks…. First thing I said was: “I want a side of fries, then I’ll have the steak tip dinner…. Medium please and thank you….. after a while of waiting… she had returned with the order and instead of mashed potatoes she must have told them fries with it. I didn’t say anything because I ain’t having the cook do anything funny to my food. It’s just common sense, I first ordered the fries, then the steak dinner without any substitutions. In my opinion the steak wasn’t that good and over cooked also wasn’t worth $28 dollars. Next time we will cook in our room.
