Hungry and tired after an 8 hour ride we chose the taphouse as it was to our AirBNB. We arrived to an empty restaurant on a Thursday night at 6:30 Service was fast, drinks and hot apps, arrived quickly. A few more patrons rolled in, our dinner came 15 minutes later, nice and hot, great bacon burger, mussels, and wedge salad. Good meal, parking lot was dark and poorly lit, $113 meal Plus tip for two with drinks.
Very happy with our food and highly recommend. I was not sure what to expect when reading the mixed reviews but we ending up eating here both nights of our stay. Food is fresh, we got the bacon cheeseburgers and its not some crappy frozen patty. French fries also fresh not bagged and so good (with a cool shape to them). Mac and cheese is creamy but light perfect balance. Apple dessert and the cheesecake also up there with the entrees. Wish I had room to try the pizza because...
Yikes. The staff were extremely friendly and the ambiance was wonderful! But the food… the food was NOT good, at absolute best. I hate to say it, but basic, bland, unimaginative… didn’t return the next night. Overpriced for what you get, as well. $2 yogurt cup for breakfast (the ones from the store that are $2.50 for a 6-pack). Good for convenience, but a rip-off.
