Stopped in for lunch on Saturday while spending a long weekend in New Hampshire. Great spot relatively close to where we're staying. They had just opened for the day so seating was immediate. Our server was quick to greet us and brought water. He was very knowledgeable about the beer and the menu. Hubby had the barley wine and I had a chocolate cherry stout. We ordered the meat and tater appetizer and the soup de jour -- both were very good. We heard the wait staff talking about being open on Easter Sunday so we confirmed they would be open 12-9pm and decided that we will go back for dinner to try their entrees.

My husband and I used to love to come here when we are in town. However, our last visit 2 weeks ago was not worth the trip- dinner was good, but our waitress Jay-something was awful. She barely checked in, and when she did she would walk away before getting our response. At 7:30 pm on a saturday night she was acting as though it was the end of her shift - seeming bothered when we asked for another round and a dessert menu. We ordered a cookie skillet for dessert and 10 min we smelled a burnt smell from the kitchen and the staff yelling "who burnt the cookie?" Less than a minute later we were served a charred cookie piled with whip cream to disguise it. We propped the black cookie on its side so she would see it as she ran by and she came back and acted surprised to see it burnt. Her offer to remake it was pathetic- again, we felt like a bother. From someone who has worked in this industry for years- the kitchen shouldn't be sending out burned food- and the waitstaff shouldn't serve it. Whatever her name is, probably should find another industry to work in.

The food and cocktails were both quite good. Staff was lovely and knowledgeable about possible allergens and cross contamination. There were multiple gluten friendly options. They do use a shared fryer, so beware of that if you're particularly sensitive.

Third visit to Rek-lis this winter and had to leave a review…I love the friendly atmosphere. The servers, hosts, and bartenders engaged us with a warm greetings and helpful advice for an excellent dining experience.
Went to Rek'-Lis for the first time last week. Our experience far exceeded our expectations! The staff was friendly, the food and drinks were delicious, and the ambiance was great! Great place to spend an evening!!

Congratulations Rek-Lis you've made my top 5 best restaurants list! As a major foodie I have traveled all around the United States and I can honestly say this place is one of the best I've ever been to! What really impressed me was the garnishes that weren't only meant to look nice but tasted amazing! The presentation was beautiful! The pickling that is used in their carrots and onions is out of this world delicious! This is high-end small plate type quality food but with large portions and very reasonable prices! The mustard sauce, beer cheese sauce and the tahini sauce was exquisite! The beer was fantastic! I have never been a sour beer, hazy beer or a fruity beer type of person! But the party in your mouth (the name speaks for itself) was shockingly delicious and has converted me forever! I cannot say enough about the brussel sprouts and the meat and taters appetizers! Beyond fantastic!The decor was very nice. I loved the black wood with the Edison lights. The booths were private and comfortable, the tables and chairs were spaced with room to move, the music was nice and made the place feel lively and energetic! I especially loved the drawing of the northern country highlights in the bathroom! They gave me a good laugh!I cannot wait to be back and I anticipate my next visit!!!

Everything was fresh, plated beautifully and delicious! The flavors were unexpected and intriguing and hit every taste bud possible! It was the first time I ever ate an onion and enjoyed it! I don't know what they use for pickling but I'm going to tell you right now it made me an onion lover today! Their beer cheese sauce their mustard and the tahin sauce for the Brussels sprouts were out of this world amazing and the brussel sprouts were perfection!The beer was absolutely phenomenal, the decor was beautiful I loved all of the black wood and the Edison lights. A very modern yet cozy feel! The booth seating was absolutely comfortable and private. Outstanding job I will be back!!!
